I disagree with it though. There's obviously an issue of sensitivity when a tragedy is recent, but can you really be offended when someone makes a
film about the battle of Thermopylae for example? The great great grandchildren of the people involved in that died before jesus was born.
Also I think that films - indeed all kinds of narrative - serve sometimes to examine and discuss tragic events, to bring new light to them and to
allow us to reach some form of closure. The good ones, anyway.
