How do you feel about World War Two, or Vietnam, being used as a source for books and movies? Or how about Titanic? Or even the siege of Atlanta in Gone With the Wind? Genuinely interested.

i have already gone over this numerous times within this thread.

Apologies, I missed your answer.

I disagree with it though. There's obviously an issue of sensitivity when a tragedy is recent, but can you really be offended when someone makes a film about the battle of Thermopylae for example? The great great grandchildren of the people involved in that died before jesus was born.

Also I think that films - indeed all kinds of narrative - serve sometimes to examine and discuss tragic events, to bring new light to them and to allow us to reach some form of closure. The good ones, anyway.

I think that this movie will be a massive hit, from that trailer it looks really good. Why are you so negative about it? You should atleast watch the entire movie before making an assumption. Its probably not just about that terrible day.
