I suggest not trying to argue with them either, they''ll just call you a cult member constantly, then if that fails, refer to long-dead folks you have never read before and never heard of until they brought them up.

Just steer clear of all Pharisees. It's not worth it.

Militant KJV-Onlyists border on idolatry. I prefer the KJB, but when a person says you cannot go to the originals for clarity there's a problem. As if the originals were not inspired, yet the English version that came over 1,000 years alter somehow is. Even though the English is WAY more lazy and less clear than the originals.

Go figure, Jesus and the apostles spoke English apparently. Also watch out for folks who only say "Jesus" was His name, and not His Hebrew birth-name.

I had a missionary friend who lost a church sponsor because he didn't use the KJV bible. He was in Mexico, and there was no Bible translated in Spanish from the Textus Receptus.

Sounds like he went to a religious legalistic denomination.

I loathe denominational Christianity.

The church switched pastors, and the new pastor was one who believed that the KJV was the only authorized version. My missionary friend didn't go to church there. He has sponsors all over the U.S.

Pretty nutty. The missionary is pulling people out of Hell, I wouldn't care if he was using a picture Bible.

There are two types of Christians out here.

Err,.. Well, three if you count the queen of heaven worshippers who eat magic cookies and drink blood.

"Denominations" are sub-classes.

The 2 "types" are:

Salvation by "faith"
Salvation by "works"

Just because it doesnt add up it may be the one adding. If anything is faulable it is our history (timeline) The way I see it you must consider that the book is the structure of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. So yes to believe it is plausable. The messiah could have been Alexander the Great for all we know but it wasnt jesus. You must know the truth before you can believe a lie.
