Good video, S&F.
It's obvious that the universe is a simulation that constructs information into lower states of entropy. Information in a high state of entropy would
be the alphabet. Information in a lower state of entropy would be a 300 page novel. Everything in the universe can be described by information except
the mind. Except consciousness.
There's zero evidence that a TV, table or baseball has an objective material reality. You don't need an objective material reality to have a
baseball, table or a TV. These things are constructs of information. Many people tell us that an objective material reality MUST exist because we see
it and experience it but all of it can be seen and experienced as constructs of information. There's ZERO evidence that an objective material reality
exists.
So we have to ask, what's the organizing force that reduces the entropy of information. I think you have to look to consciousness. We see this with
the human mind. It can take bits of information and order it in a way to convey a message and give it meaning.
I can convey a message with rocks. If there's two rocks in the driveway, I'm home. If there's three rocks in the driveway, I have left.
We're parts of the organizing force, the singular consciousness having "me" experiences. So the universe is a simulation of information.
Eventually, quantum computers will allow for a laptop that has more computing power than the entire universe. Nanotechnology will allow us to build
things from a microscopic scale vs. a macroscopic scale. We build cars and tall buildings and we're good at building things on a macroscopic scale.
Wait until we're able to build things from a microscopic scale. That Big Mac container can be turned into a Rolex watch.
What these things point to is information. If you have the information then you can construct anything down to a molecular level because everything
except consciousness is a construct of information.
