According to the Department of Homeland Security’s own definition of personal identifiable information, or PII, such data could consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.” Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding bl

Hey, it's for your safety dude. You don't want journalists publishing things that threaten our national security, do you? Otherwise, the terrorists might get you. What if a journalist was really recruiting Jihadist martyrs to commit terrorist actions against the US? Homeland Security would be there to save the day.

I would gladly destroy the entire Bill of Rights and literally put it in law that the Constitution is null and void as long as I can feel safe from the Al-CIAda terrorists.

are these your own words?

do you feel threatened in any way that you feel safe knowing and seeing the DHS working to keep you safe. my point is can you prove anybody or group is keeping you safe. and why would you give up your right to protect your own self or family and depend on another group or organization to keep you or family safe. I just dont get where you come from..

I am safe because I say so, because I do so..because of my choice to be safe..and because I was a soldier, I think like a soldier therefore I am my own and my families soldier

That was all sarcasm bro. I thought for sure including "Al-CIAda" in there would make it pretty clear.

I couldn't agree more. I think the Bill of Rights is obsolete. When our founding fathers were around, they could never invision terrorism, or 2 planes knocking down 3 buildings(lack of imagination). They wouldn't even know what a plane was, so clearly we need more security or I'm afraid the final proof could come in the form of a MUSHROOM CLOUD.

I'm not sure why I post on this site seeing as I don't believe in any conspiracy theories and only come here to visit the 911 forums and debunk truthers... but you know, this thread really stood out.

It stood out as a beacon of freedom. A beacon of security. Because security and freedom go hand in hand.

ATS really needs to WAKE UP, talking about Ron Paul this, and Ron Paul that. His foreign policy is CRAZY. You actually think NOT attacking foreign countries is a good idea??? WTH?!!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, those pesky Constitution and Bill of Rights! Indeed. We will be SOOO safe without them! I WANT to be told what to do when. I will be so safe and cozy.

Freedom? Meh. Who wants THAT!?! Only a sicko.
