This is just a publicity stunt by those who run ATS to make users more aware of SOPA. The Government isn't taking the site down or blocking it or anything like that. So no worries.

Yeah, it is ATS protesting SOPA

Here is the official thread about it by Bill himself. There is also an official petition to sign at the White House website, linked at the bottom of his OP. I signed it, for what that is worth.

It's also being heavily discussed here:

For the record, we are each going to be seeing that fake government block, once every 24 hours for the next few days, according to Bill.
