You are right it is big news here in Australia. Just the sort of thing that fills our biased media instead of reporting on any real issues.
I agree that Hawky is a beer skulling champ, my point was that this sort of thing is hardly worthy of a post on ATS. I would compare this to a recent
media report I have seen on Obama playing football in Hawaii. Just a distraction used by mainstream media to divert your attention away from anything
serious. This story was reported as a headline for the day! I guess it sure softens the blow that we are most likely about to follow USA into Iran.

It's not a matter of Bob Hawke sculling beers at a cricket match. The whole post is how this man, after all his years in politics, is still very much loved by all classes of Australians and does'nt mind rubbing shoulders with bogans including drinking a beer with them without a care in the world.
