Considering it was the Maya who came up with final version (well actually there are regional difference - but that is another story) It safe to assume they would have set it for their own "time zone".

All we know is that we are moving into the end of a 26k year cycle around our galaxy and there will be some alignments of bodies on or around that date.

Everything else is speculation pole shifts, solar flares, moving into the fifth density, ice age, astride/ planet X, alian invasion, alian contact, the end of time and so forth and don't forget the we will become super humans one (my fav)
I find this all very interesting, but not as interesting as what is happening now(rolen up another joint) because there is only now

I wouldn't hold my breath as life is too short for worrying about potently nothing at all but interesting all the same

I agree with you completely nothing out of ordinary will happen - unless an asteroid takes that particular moment to come in for a home run......

There's the illusonary belief that there is bliss in ignrance. When we are children, to play hide, children cover their heads assuming if they can't see you, then you can't see them. This is how I see people who rush quick to denounce the reality behind the 2012 phenomenon. They don't know what they are talking about. They don't want to. They want to believe the lie that if they don't believe it will not happen. They are fooling themselves for the time being as anyone that is within deep understanding of it understand it's already begun.

The poles started the shift back in 98, and they are pergressing, soon the poles will shift largely. World War 3 is clearly in the news daily. There's so many things that are screaming neon signs the size of crampolopiuses that those trying to stay asleep get angered at things that might wake them up. It's real, and it's already begun.

I don't even know why they bother to pipe up every chance they get to denounce the facts. They are blind and clueless in their thinking they know.

The 2012 Phenomenon is already begun. We've bought the tickets, we've stood in line, we're seated in our seats and the ride is just being powered up.
