For many years I have been having a lot of experiences, some I had since I was a child, so seen shadow figures or what we can call "ghosts" (white figures) is not new to me.

But what is been bogging me for the last few days is that one of the experiences I been having for years has changed.

During the night I tend to wake up almost every few weeks at the same time 2:45 AM with this feeling of been watched, usually as soon I open my eyes I see this incredible shadow figure in black very tall to the point that he have to bend in order to fit in the room, he is always next to my side of the bed looking at me, even when I have seen him before It always scares the crap out of me and I blink a couple of times until is gone, but always leaving me for the rest of the night unable to sleep.

Well, few days ago, I woke up again at the same time with the same feeling of been watched, but this time it was not the incredible tall shadow figure bending over me, but a very pale white man with receding hair in regular street clothes that he was so close to me that I actually remember how he looks like, the thing is that when he saw me looking at his eyes he actually got a surprise expression in his face, I got so spook by this new experience of my other wise shadow "regular" tall figure that I started shaking, I became cold then hot followed by nausea and stomach cramps but neither I ended in the restroom sick.

The figure just disappear as soon I blinked a couple of times.

Does anybody have this type of experience and what could this be.

BTW as I write this story I am experiencing the same symptoms I had during that night.

Any comments will be appreciated.

This is really interesting... It sounds like he was as suprised to see you as much as you saw him.

BUT, there are many problems when you talk about seeing ghosts at night. Are you able to move? There is a thing called Lucid Dreaming where your actually in a dream but you sometimes can percieve it as the waking life. It makes sence that you "expect" these things to come at the same time everynight and when you want them to go away they go away.

Maybe try a little research, I suggest next time trying to find out if it's just a vivid lucid dream, which research will maybe enlighten awnsers for you.

This is just a possibility. I wouldn't be afraid, they will not harm you.

Also, some people after dreaming can have dream imagery stay in your eyes even when you wake up for a short few seconds. For instance true story, one day I woke up and I had a bird flying in my room from my dreaming state. Only lasted a few seconds but this could possibly be it.

And one time before I knew about lucid dreaming, I woke up and saw crabs crawling all over me and I panicked. If I would of only known this was a lucid dream I could of had them go away and did ANYTHING I wanted to.

Do you really thing ghosts can percieve what time it's??? Same time everynight, how do they know the time ya know?? That's why I kind of think it's something to do with waking up and dreaming but I could be wrong.

And I know alot about dreams from when I was obessed with Lucid Dreaming if you have any questions I can help.

Dont rule out vision problems. If you are over 30 this could be the onset of floaters or some other malady. If you see smoke (white figure) particularly at the periphery it is fairly common. Happened to myself so i know what the smokey figures look like.

Luckily that stopped happening but the floaters came and for awhile were very annoying. Then you have to ask yourself, for what purpose would these figures come? just to look at someone sleeping seems highly unlikely to me.

Thanks for the experience, is nice to know that others have same related experiences as I have.

I have this type of experience for years, same thing, incredibly tall shadow figure bending over me on the side of the bed but never been able to see the face, same time same thing.

I have sleep paralysis before, also have experience with out of body travel, I got some incredible stories about that ones.

But the visitors in my room are the ones that creep me out, the ghostly experiences I had them since I was a child but during the day, seen people that no other could see was not fun specially for a child when at the time I had no knowledge of what ghost were.

But the experience I have at night I was not paralyzed I actually jump out of the bed to make sure was no body in the room, what got me the last time is how vivid the visitor was, no shadow figure but a normal looking person that actually got a surprise expression when it noticed that I was aware of it.

I tell you, I even though it was somebody in the house but when it disappear I knew it was not real.

Still I woke up my husband as I felt so sick, the sensation of creepiness lasted the entire day, I felt uneasy and like something was not OK.

Even as I write about the experience I feel uneasy.

You should try keeping a camera by your bed so maybe one night you could sneak a camera shot of it and share =)

Or better yet video tape your room while you sleep, who knows what you might catch ya know.

If thats even possible

I have floaters since my 30s I was seen by an eye specialist, no much I can do about it, because the procedure to have them remove is not 100% safe, he told me that eventually they will fall on the bottom of the vision area, I am used to them they are wiggly lines very small and very thin that I can only see when looking at a white wall or when reading for while, I am now 52 so I have gotten used to them.

Thanks for tip.

I never though about that, maybe I can use my son's he have a nice one with a stand.

BTW Only once my husband felt something in the room also at the same time I did, but he never saw anything, both walk up at the same time.

He usually is deep sleep when I have my experiences and most of the time I will wake him up when I have mine.

That is something. I know now that seeing flashes and smokey objects in my vision were from changes taking place in my eyes. My floaters seem to have settled except for a few. As you probably know that if you close your eyes and look towards the sun you can really see them.

Now about the other issue, there is a good thread on here about sleep paralysis and i explained my own experiences with it going back from when i was in my late teens. I honestly think it is some kind of glitch in the psyche of the individual having them.

The real reason i came to this conclusion was by inducing them myself. All i had to do was think about it for a few minutes before i fell asleep and sure enough they would start like clockwork. Just something to consider. When i find the thread i will update this. To test this theory, leave the t.v on before you go to bed, or even a radio, and i can almost guarantee they will not happen. I think the sound keeps your mind from creating these scenarios. Another thing is stress, when i was stressed, from relationships especially they really came about. Could be wrong though. The shame of it all is i really liked the supernatural feel of these episodes.

A couple of things...

First, if you have a history of seeing things like shadow people or ghosts (whatever you might call them) then you are most likely sensitive. If this is the case, you can at times be like a beacon to them. They are attracted to the fact that you sense them.

Second, I have no idea why this happens, but it is a commonly reported thing to be awakened at a certain time at night. There might be an explanation for this (like someone starting a car outside at the same time every night, or a piece of machinery coming on- something like this), but barring that; there are many people who are awakened consistently at exactly the same time every night. I am one of them. 3 am for me. But nothing else happens in my case. I do believe this might have some paranormal significance.

Third, seeing the figures looking at you or bending over you is just creepy. Have you told them to leave? If it happens again, my strong advice is to demand that they leave and never return. This can actually work, particularly in the cases where you have not asked for contact or encouraged it. But being passive and just scared can actually make it worse.

Last, go with your gut. If it feels bad, trust your feeling. If it made you that sick, and also caused you to be so terrified you couldn't sleep, then you need to listen to your intuition and take measures to protect yourself and your space.

If it's all in your imagination (which i doubt, given your history) then no harm done, right?

EDIT: I'm not sure about trying to capture it on camera. Most ghost pics are easily debunked because a psychic experience of a spirit you "see" isn't a physical light reflecting being. Cameras measure light.

You could try EVPs. They seem to be able to pick up voices. But I must ask you if you want to encourage it to communicate? I think that these types of things can encourage more contact. I wouldn't go there, unless that is what you want.

I hadn't read that explanation. Since I'm not at all religious, I doubt that the 3am mockery of the trinity thing applies. But it's quite interesting that they mention some other things that can go along with the experience that might apply to the OP:

".... The body shuts down certain motor signals during REM sleep to prevent us from acting out our dreams, yet occasionally as the mind moves through the stages of sleep and comes back to the lightest phase of sleep there is a brief moment when the mind gets to an aware stage before the body does. It is for these few seconds (that can feel much longer or even be prolonged) that the now lucid mind realizes that the body cannot move. There are a number of effects associated with this phenomena some of which I have listed below:
Inability to move legs, arms or even torso;
Inability to vocalize;
The feeling of pressure on chest, as if someone was sitting or pressing on it, even a strangling or attacked feeling;
Feeling of choking or inability to breath;
Reactions such as terror, dread, panic;
Auditory hallucination – such as ringing, whistling, breathing, rustling, scratching, buzzing, knocking, animal noises, music, moaning, laughing and even footsteps. Sometimes distinct voices or phrases are reported. Some sounds are very ‘natural’; some are extremely loud or piercing. It is notable that they are most often reported as very clearly “external” – not “in the head”;
Floating or out of body feeling, feeling of levitation or sinking;
Seeing or sensing a presence in the room. Often it is reported to be looking down or watching the person experiencing it, is usually dark, most often human shaped but can be vague or amorphous, or even animal shaped;"

In my case, there is nothing that happens except me waking and seeing 3:00am on the clock.

In the OP's case, she sees a consistent entity and is awake when she does. She aw the expression on its face CHANGE when it saw that she was aware of it being there.

Even writing about it causes her to feel bad and revisit the nausea she felt during the experience. This is a huge red flag. I'm voting she has an entity in the room, especially given her ability to see them in the past. And I'm hoping that it isn't the case, but suspect that it is not a good thing.

I will take in mind all the advise in the post, thanks every body for them.

I have to add, that when I was a child seen people that were no there was for me at the time a normal thing and I even touhg that I was not the only one, as I got older and became aware of what ghost were I became scare so the clarity of vision when away and then I could only see shadows and just no define and out of the corner of my eyes.

But while I am aware of my experiences during my life, the experience I had recently really shake me up as the shadow was not shadow but a clear person like I used to see them when I was a child

I guess it was ok for me to see shadows but when this last one was so clear it really shake me up.

Yes I usually tell whatever shadow I seen to go away when it makes me uncomfortable usually I will have few weeks with not seen anything but then again it starts, at least is not every night.

I always take into consideration that until this day I have not come to harm from any of this experiences and only have gotten a good scare.

Lots of people are scared by this kind of stuff. And not all of it is bad. Fear just makes it seem that way.

But, there are times when it is NOT good, and feelings you had surrounding the particular experience are relevant. Trust your gut. Stay positive. Refuse to be a victim and be assertive. If you don't just lie there and cower, but instead demand they leave you alone, you are closer to getting a grip on this.

Best to you.

Hi marg

You might like to consider these are spiritual beings visiting you and find a Christian minister with a ministry in deliverance from spiritual entities to pray and remove these from your house. Some people advise anyone can kick spirits out in the name of Jesus Christ however I have concerns with people who are not Christian confronting spiritual entities alone. Not a judgment thing, just my concern. However if you are confronted with these beings you can pray to invite Jesus to come and order them out. I have had similar experiences and can assure you they will leave. If they do come back, simply pray again and by the authority of Jesus order them out again. Do you know if you or your parents or someone in your immediate family were ever involved in occult activities such as ouija boards? These can open households to demonic visitation and squatting.

Interesting. I've written about the nausea associated with strong spiritual entities before. A quick lecture. Some people don't see "ghosts" and never will. They do not have enough spiritual energy to be able to percieve them. Some people have a smidge and will feel them, a little more and you may hear the whispers or see them out of the corner of your eye. If you have a great degree of spiritual pressure you can see them almost as you would anyone else. Even more spiritual pressure and you can effect them, so on and so forth.

When there is a strong entity, the lower your spiritual pressure the more it's presence effects you. Fainting and nausea are common. If you can consistently see entities(not the flitting in the corner of your eye crap), then you have an above average amount of spirit energy and they will be attracted to you. If you encountered one that makes you sick to your stomach he is significantly stronger than you and could cause you great harm if he wished.

Can you elaborate more on the white entity? Is it a ghostly figure in a white suit? Or is it something else. Please elaborate to the best of your ability. Many of these entities are attracted to people with above average spiritual pressure. They feed off of it and use it to sustain themselves. I'll read the rest of the thread, initially I only read the op.

I come from the Caribbean so beliefs in spiritual matters is strong in our Island, my parents are Christians seventh day adventist, while my mother was actually fine with me been able to see entities, my father was very uncomfortable with the Idea, because my mother told me that he could see things also and it will scare him a lot, so religion was enforced by him.

That has made me to this day and time a none religious follower of organized religion, as I always knew that is more out there that religion could explain.

I am 52 so I can tell you that my experiences has been for the most part of my life, I don't want to get into more details because a life of experiences like my will be too long to follow.

But while I have entities that has been with me all my life is the new ones that show up the ones that will scare the crap out of me as I am not familiar with them and their intent is no given.

I do not practice the occult but I don't practice religion either, while I believe in a creator and I have the most incredible experiences of what is out there after this life I do not consider myself and expert, just hold my experiences to my self and when they are scary and worrisome I share them with my mother and my husband.

For some reason my husband is very understanding of what I see and feel as he has felt things himself and in many occasions has seen me surrounded by a red light around my head that he can not explain.

The white apparitions are how I describe the more pale looking beings I can see, surrounded by light, no a white mist or anything like that just light.

To tell the truth, I feel that when is time for me to depart this world is going to be a lot of beings waiting for me to help me with my transition, that is why when I had my last experience a few days ago, I actually felt that It was my time to go and he was there to take me away, still while it scare me a lot, I didn't feel that I was in any danger or that he was there to cause me harm, what I could not shake out of my mind is that expression in the entity face that show he was as surprised as me that I could see it.

You are more seeing than you might realize. The surprised expression is key. This indicates an intelligent being, not just a residual thing. And given your history of seeing and sensing these things, this incident is probably not different. Occasionally you will probably get 'fly by's,' as a friend of mine calls them. They can be attracted to you because they can sense you can see them.

But the nausea and fear are your defenses telling you this is not a good thing. I'm hoping someone here can give you advice about blocking or shielding. I don't know how to do that. I do know that demanding (with compassion) that this stop can work. It seemed to work for us. But we never had a nausea-inducing spirit.

Thanks, I guess naturally I have been able to keep myself safe, don't know how but so far I have been fine, but is odd that I got such a reaction this last experience, been sick of seen beings has never been part of my experience at all.

Unless the being, could have been sick in life and what I experienced was his suffering when alive it that is what he was once.

Funny, when I was a child it was a time period that I could feel peoples aches and pains, but I kind of made myself stay away from that, as it was very uncomfortable, I don't remember how I did it but I did and unless I try really hard to feel somebody else pain I am fine, no that I want to go around feeling aches and pains from everybody, that will fall under the scientific term of hypochondria.

Is been already three days since my experience and I am doing a lot better, I still kind of look around in the room to see if something is hiding in the shadows but so far no even the shadow figures are around.

That is a good thing.

You've described being an empath. Google it. Feeling other people's emotions or physical pain is what happens. I'm married to one, and can tell you this is very real. He describes it, then confirms it with a phone call or contact to the person. I've never known him to be wrong and he has this happens often. Not hypochondria, and different than just being 'empathic.'

I've read that some people with mediumship abilities can be in the presence of a spiritual being and sense pain or trauma of that being. But I only know of that through reading about it. I'd say if you're an empath, and also able to sense spirits - this could be a possibility.
