In case you hadn't noticed, it's not just presidential appointments that the republicans have been blocking, they've been blocking everything Obama
and the democrats support. Even if it means they have to reverse a previous republican held position. They block everything just for the sake of
opposing Obama at every turn in an attempt to insure that his policies fail helping them to accomplish their #1 stated goal, which is to make Obama a
1 term president.
How you ask? They do it via their newfound strategy of eliminating the "simple majority" in the senate and filibustering everything they disagree
with, insuring that it now takes a "super-majority" of 60 votes to get anything passed. If I'm not mistaken, in a best case scenario, the democrats
can only muster 53 votes, so you can see how it's really quite easy for them to block virtually every democratic initiative brought before the senate.

Judging by some of your post in this thread, it's apparent that you're pretty much in the dark about this entire agency, how and why it was formed and
more specifically, how the republican establishment has done everything in their power to see that it never gets up & running. I would suggest

By the way, I agree wholeheartedly with what the President has done. If Congress doesn't want the POTUS, (regardless of political affiliation) to
make presidential appointments then they should stay in session and do their damn job! You ever heard the old saying; "Lead, follow, or get the hell
out of the way?" Well I'm actually quite pleased that Obama finally decided to stand up to the blatant republican obstructionism and "Just Do It."
At least now Congress will have to do something instead of just sitting on their asses and doing nothing.
