I never really liked the guy, but after watching how he treated this kid asking him questions there is no questioning that he is a total puppet who doesn't even know what he's talking about.

At a campaign stop in Iowa yesterday, Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum said he believes that the West Bank was justly acquired by Israel during war, so that today, “all the people who live in the West Bank are Israelis, they’re not Palestinians.”

Israeli settlements in the West Bank are legitimate, he said, because the area was “ground that was gained during war” after “an aggressive attack on the part of Jordan and other countries on Israel”:

...Santorum did not clarify whether he believes everyone who lives in the West Bank should be accorded all the rights and responsibilities of Israeli citizenship.

These Zionist stooges are neck and neck with each other.

If you think things are bad in the U.S. right now, wait until Santorum or Romney win the election. I personally think Obama has it though, those electronic vote machines work wonders

Go Ron Paul!

He looked like he was going to get lose his temper and get physical with that young man. I would have given him a peace of my mind but would surely would have been escorted out very loudly, perhaps in Jail. I can't stand these people who are loyal to other nations before their own.

Remind you of anyone (Obama ... Bush43)? Sounds rather presidential to me!

Seriously though .. don't worry about it. He isn't 'the chosen crown prince'. Romney is.

I wouldn't want him to be my president.

Do you think Romney will win the whole election or just the Republican race?

You can paint him with a zionist brush, but he does seem to have a good argument.

Should ground gained in war time be given back?

I think his argument is based on ignorance.

You do know that a lot of the West Bank is illegally occupied right?

He doesn't seem to know it either so don't feel bad.

International laws says it is illegal to acquire land by force.

Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention states in paragraph 1,
Individual or mass forcible transfers, as well as deportations of protected persons from occupied territory to the territory of the Occupying Power or to that of any other country, occupied or not, are prohibited, regardless of their motive. and states in paragraph 6, The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.

All land they have stolen since 48 should be given back to the Palestinians.

This can serve as a reminder to those who think it's legal to illegally occupy land:

UN General Assembly Passes 9 Resolutions Against Israel

A lot of it discusses the illegal land grabs by Israel, and this is very recent.

I hate using the UN as a source, but they are as official as you can get, I guess

As Corruption Exposed stated, I'm fairly ignorant of west bank legality and apparently international law for that matter.

His argument only sounded good, but times have changed since the US took mexican ground so the argument doesn't hold. Thanks ATSers

The one thing I want to know is where the heck did he come from? Santorum that is. He was polling what 4th and 5th a month or so ago and now he's up to 1st or 2nd
rolling around with the guy from 100 kids and counting. Something stinks here.

I really dislike you for forcing me to actually defend "Frothy" Rick Santorum.

There is NOTHING at all in this video that appeared like he was going to get physical with the young man. Nothing at all and your comment is a gross misrepresentation of the video. Shame on you.

About the video: I don't really have a problem with it. Frothy makes a valid point, at the same time misdirecting the initial question and putting the young man on the defensive. Very smooth.

It is a fact that he who ask the questions, controls the conversation. That is exactly what Frothy has done here. Notice how the conversation progresses. As the young man ask a question, he is then cut off and countered with another question. On one hand, Frothy is testing this young man's knowledge of the whole situation, which clearly the young man does not know the full history. On the other hand, he is making a comparison to modern USA giving back land claimed through war.

Which still does not change the fact that there never would have been a war if the land was not given to Israel and the people who resided there forced off the land to begin with.

I wasn't trying to imply you are ignorant, my statement was more directed towards Santorum. I'm sorry if it came off as me being rude and calling you ignorant, it was not my intention.

It's just that in my opinion there is a lot of misinformation floating around about that region, and trust me, I don't claim to be all knowing. I have been corrected on many occasions.

Peace.

The land the Israel now occupies, including the west bank has been Israeli land for OVER 2,000 years. Israel may not have been a nation recognized by the United Nations till 1948 but the Isreaelites have been there for over 2,000 years dating all the way back to the division of Isaac and Ishmael. Anyone that chooses to disagree with me is either stupid or they just do not WANT to know the truth. Do the research. The Palestinians have only EVER had the land known as the Gaza strip. The map I am linking to was drawn in 1717. Long before the United Nations. If you will notice the palestinians in 1717 had the land that is today called the Gaza strip. The remainder of the land is broken into pieces named after the sons of Abraham. When Abraham died he willed certain parts of his kingdom to different sons. The names you see on the map, other than Palestine, reflect the sons of Abraham, Israel, and this was 1717 folks. Learn your historic FACTS and not someones retoric.

Ooh! - 'illegally occupied' , my gosh that sounds awfull!

Do you suppose the combined Arab armies were worried about the niceties of so called 'international law' when they twice attacked Israel with the intention of genociding the lot of them?

You know as well as I do that the moment Israel lays down its arms, or becomes indefensible - the Arabs will attack again - that is what you are rooting for isn't it!?

Can't really argue the statement about surrendering land won in wars, but his cadence is that of someone I wouldn't want in charge of any launch codes.

Here are his supporters on their way to the New Hampshire caucus...

FYI...

The people that lived there 2,000 years ago are the ancestors of the Palestinians and a few Jews, but most of the current day Israeli Jews are NOT from that land.

If you think that he who lived there 2,000 years ago deserves the land, well then you're saying the Palestinians deserve that land.

How does it feel to just admit that the land rightfully belongs to the Palestinians according to your own logic that I quoted in this post?

ABRAHAM WAS NOT PALESTINIAN. HE WAS JEWISH AND HE GAVE HIS LAND TO HIS SONS, JEWISH SONS. The only land the Palestinians EVER had was the Gaza strip. Maps prove me correct. LEARN YOUR HISTORY

You mean like when the Israelis Genocided the Palestinians numerous times, here's one:

The Deir Yassin massacre took place on April 9, 1948, when around 120 fighters from the Irgun Zevai Leumi and Lohamei Herut Israel Zionist paramilitary groups attacked Deir Yassin near Jerusalem, a Palestinian-Arab village of roughly 600 people.[1] The assault occurred as Jewish militia sought to relieve the blockade of Jerusalem during the civil war that preceded the end of British rule in Palestine.

en.wikipedia.org...[2]

There are many more pictures available of all the other massacres, even more from this one, it's just I'm not able to upload them, not sure why.

They don't want to slaughter the Jews man, that's just garbage.

They just want their land back, wouldn't you?

It NEVER WAS their land. Palestinian land is the Gaza strip nothing more. The land belonged to Abraham and he willed it to his sons. JEWISH sons. It has been jewish land for over 2,000 years . You need to learn your history too.
