This probably qualifies more as a Poem than a Short Story, but I think it's the most appropriate place. I refined the philosophical angle in the Philosophy forum and completed it in the way that I would now consider an expression of myself.

The link takes you to the "intended" presentation where there are subtle and not so subtle nuances in the presentation not possible here. However that's just hoity toity pompous self promotion (no ads, just a straight HTML page) so here it is more or less:

Tao Te Apocalypse

Then Tao Thought...
"GOD! I AM BORED!!!"
And blew itself to infinity.

Then Tao Thought...
"BORED! I AM GOD!!!"
And blew itself infinitely.

Then Tao Thought...
"BORING! YOU BE GOD!!!"
And forgot how to blow.

Then Tao Thought...
"GOD! YOU BE BORING!!!"
And learned how to blow.
