dispassionate observer of these developments, however, the media has in
fact been central to increasing those tensions and preparing the public
to expect a military confrontation. But as the online media rises to
displace the traditional forms by which the public forms its
understanding of the world, many are now beginning to see first hand how
the media lies the public into war.

not nuking the whole country the most holy place in the world

The sad part is that history is repeating itself once again with Iran, the same story is about to unfold. United States tells world community that Iran has finally assembled an ICBM with a nuclear payload and all hell breaks loose. Its sad to see that governments play off of the common persons fear of a nuclear holocaust in order to further said countries power and wealth.

It just seems convienent that tensions are rising in the Strait so close to the presidential elections, I cannot help but think that once again something evil is at work here.

TV broadcasting began around 1928/29/30 for US, UK, USSR, Germany and France.

From it's inception TV was created as a propaganda and programming tool.

we know that

The OP is right but it way less complicated that you might think.

2 things.
First theres FEAR. Human being are tiny litle emotional creatures that love to fear. They are almost addicted to it and thats not a conspiracy theory including jews. Who has no fear? I think we need to watch V for Vendatta a couple more time

Second, Polling, Simple like that, you reassure the mass if their choice are shown rational. Or Marketing. Polling is a very complex science, the way you twist a question can make you say anything, making every decision you make a rational one. Because nobody wanna be the black sheep you are shown that the majority is sane or legit. The business and political world uses psychological techniques to read, create and fulfill our desires, to make their products or speeches as pleasing as possible to us.
