Lets not forget that these precincts that are reporting are the small ones. Typically, Paul supporters live in larger cities, and those votes haven't been tallied yet. Right now it's looking really good for Paul because he's doing well even in the smaller precincts that are reporting.

This is a good sign and I predict as the night goes on Paul's lead will swell.

According to the Fox News map, Ron Paul is leading counties 4 to 1 (Santorum) to 1 (Romney)

I'm going to make a bold guess that RP is going to come out of Iowa with 28% victory.

No, I hear you, I might have posted that incorrectly. He basically jabbed at Paul stating that if Paul wins, it would show that Iowa no longer picks winners.

I can't believe Santorum is doing as well as he is.

The guy said he would bomb Iran for crying outloud.

I admit i know absolutely nothing about American voting but the santorum surge in the last few days to me is indicative of shananigans on the part of the MSM

This is how the entire election has been...the flavor of the week has surged over a few days to a week once the old when fell.

Ron Paul did the same thing in Iowa in the middle of December...and now Santorum is doing it.

No shananigans...just Republican voters that don't know what they want and a Republican field that is less than desirable.

Ok, so how does the system of who wins works? Is it the popular vote, or who wins the most counties?

Yeah, 28 percent sounds about right.
But, I want to see 30.

Don't forget people, Santorum is a distraction to split the vote and keeping it a direct battle between Romney and Paul.
