Way to deflect t the "uniform' issue.
So these troops left the protection of their armored track in hostile territory, planted an IED, waited for this particular "Lassie" to sniff around as any dog would do, then detonated the enemy weapon when it wasnt convenient for you? As another poster stated, what about the guy walking down the street? Would it have been better if the hajis blew it when he was on it? Perhaps grass and trees were also impacted? Are they worth less than a human life? .Ants and crickets probably perished too. Why arent you whining about that?

i was going by the thread title, i was then told in cryptic form, that they were not U.S. soldiers and to look at the uniform, so i rewatched the video. i could not tell what uniform was being warn and then thought it may not be a u.s. soldier in the video.

then it is mentioned a terrorist may be responsible, and i watched again, and thought of the possible ways this could of happened, it never occured to me the dog triggered it untill somebody replied under my last post.
how is that siding with anybody, i just wanted to understand how it could of been a terrorist that caused it.

this is one of those videos that fool people, and it fooled me, you hear american voices, and are given suggestions like american and blow up a dog, i hate these types of videos they are properganda.
all i wanted to do is understand what was being claimed, once it was in doubt to me that they were not u.s. troops.

the dog setting it off never occured to me because of all the suggestions that had been made from the video title on live leak to the o.p. title etc. untill now.

Hi, soldiers,

Stop blowing up dogs and find Jesus.

Just something I am here to do - and it is damn hard.

I just don't understand why you were so quick to blame Americans. America is not perfect...far from it but we do more to help the world than any other nation that has ever existed. Sure, some of our corporations get lucrative contracts but in the end we promote weal more than woe. We defend Europe so they can cut their military spending and spend their considerable tax revenues on socialistic programs, which by the way still don't pacify many of their populace(Greece for example).

Eh. It's not a human, so I honestly don't care.

I ca show you videos of them killing civilians, and videos of them giving them water.

Soldiers, like me and you, do not all come in the same. I actually had a giggle from this. Because it's not a human. And therefore, I don't care.

So what's your point? Is this supposed to imply that this type of behavior is exclusive to US military personnel?

Regardless, its a dog. A dog. It wasn't even your dog. Heck, it probably wasn't even anyone's dog. Many people die unnecessarily every day, and you're particularly concerned about a dog?

Sometimes I think some people are more concerned about their animal friends than the members of our own species...

because the power of suggestion is exactly that. plus you hear american voices, making the suggestions seem true. i know america does good in the world i do not get why me thinking it was american troops in this case when both the video on live leak and the o.p. suggest it makes you think i always blame america or think america is evil.
at the same time american troops have been known to do stuff, they are not perfect either, but niether are anybodies troops

i came here to condemn blowing up a dog, not blame america, the only reason i thought they were american was because that was suggested to me through all observable data, ie: thread titles, video titles and voices in the video.
it does not matter to me who blew the dog up i would of condemned that action whether they were italian or swedish or british. but even the suggestion is made that a dog was blown up on purpose, hence no thought from me at least of thinking about the dog being the one who set it off.

we are not perfect and here to learn, i just wish sometimes people would explain properly in replies to me what they meant. i would rather leave this thread understanding the turth rather than going away with some false impression about this inncident, i don't care how i get there i am just glad i did.

Non-cryptic. The dog himself MOST likely did not set the IED off. These are radio/remote controlled demolitions set off by terrorists via specially rigged cell phones. Yes, detonated by cell phones. This is Iraq war 101. If you didnt know that, ok, but please try to read more than ATS. This is 10 year old knowledge and fairly primitive by todays standards. was that too cryptic for you?

Interesting post. Care to not be anonymous and at least post your country of origin?

A life is a life. All things being interconnected, the "joker", I'm sure is not laughing today... nor will many others when met with the same karmic fate that they befall on their fellow sentient beings. God speed!

Why? It is fact. There is an epidimic of dying and diseased dogs there....there are no vets to help them....and they are dangerous roaming the streets....the dogs need to be killed because they cannot be helped...it is humane for the healthy animals and for humans that live there.

Read....please:

The two strays were among the thousands that roam the streets of Baghdad. Authorities have been killing them since November, trying to prevent the spread of disease and attacks on residents

Wow... an epidemic?
Did this occur out of the blue?
What could have made this happen?
I mean, where did all the vets go?
