I am having a hard time posting an avatar to my account. I'm pretty good with computers and I've been trying for over an hour. What ever the correct procedure is, I think it needs to be simplified, because in my searches I've come across this complaint by others. Up to this point, I've come across directions for posting avatars from 2006 and 2009 from the site and directions from 2011 from a member. None of the directions match up with the menu lines or options.

So far I have selected an image of appropriate size and have it on my desk top.
I went to Tools+ and scrolled down to "Your Avatar".
Directions state there is a "upload avatar" beside the URL box - but there is not.
There is just a "submit" button below the url box - but no way to upload.

I'm wondering if the directions are not keeping up with changes to the site. Please help me with this as I'm sure others may be having a problem too. Sincere thanks.

You Freakin Rock! I've been a member of ATS for years and, I admit I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed, but I could never figure it out. I finally figured out: ask for help. Many, many thanks.
