Genesis 3:21
"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."

Nothing there says that this animal was a sacrifice. You're just reading that into it. For you to try to save the OP's argument by claiming god clothed Adam and Eve through some kind of blood sacrifice is just grasping at straws.

The OP is trying to prove that God exists because the bible delineates "hunter gatherers" in the correct order and time frame. If god truly needed to provide clothing to Adam and Eve because they didn't know about clothes, he could have taught them about cloth. Why didn't god teach them about cloth?

God didn't clothe anybody. Clothing came from a nessesity and animal skins were warm and convient, as people were hunting animals for food. Probably the first animal killed by humans was in self defence, and eating it was an experiment, after seeing other animals eating meat.

As the OP points out, the fairy tale charactors, Adam and Eve, were vegans first.

It is factual and historical. Pick up a history book and start reading. I majored in anthropology (emphasis archeaology) and minored in sociology. It is true, all of it. Cultural anthropology and archeaology both corroborate this.

Well, before I go down into my study to read the history book I've been reading for that last few weeks (Sarum, by Edward Rutherford), I'll just leave you with one more question,

WHEN did you major and minor in those fields? I have a masters in a field of social science (10 years ago this summer), and still read up on it EVERY DAY. One has to keep up with these subjects to be able to speak about them with authority. The facts change all the time as people continue to dig up more info.

Peace.

Probably because animal hides with fur that could be turned inward for insulation would have made more sense for utility. They had the stain of sin on them and he destroys sin, i imagine it was all he could do to keep from wiping them out right then and there and he might have entertained that thought. We just don't know what he was thinking at the time, but we know from scripture he was not happy with them and there was a time he grieved at not destroying man altogether. From the Israelite histories he is a wrathful God and even they lamented serving him sometimes.

Cain slays Abel and God places a curse on Cain and sends him away after he murdered Abel. Cain goes to the land of Nod and takes a wife and becomes the builder of the first city (civilization). Well what do you know? Science (archeaology) says that domestication of animals and farming bothcame before cities (civilization) were ever built.

Simple question to think about...

If Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel were the first humans created by 'God', then who were all the people in the Land of Nod who Cain was able to take a wife from?

It is these type of discrepancies that Believers need to look at properly.

It's accepted Moses was from Sumer, which means all the information he had with him was based on Sumerian History, yes?

In which case 'God' is Enlil.. a nasty alien visitor to earth who had some serious issues with Ego, and a massive hate for the humans (Adamma) manufactured by his younger brother Enlil and Sister Nin-Hursag... and, he made sure Humans would see his kind little brother as the Evil One by usurping half the Symbol on the House of Life in Africa.. two intertwined snakes around a staff.. the Caduceus we use in Medical professions today.

This became the symbol of one snake on a staff or branch.. and we see this exact symbolism in the Garden of Eden fable and are informed that this signifies the Evil One. So we believed what Enlil had to say about his kind, loving young brother who loved the humans he manufactured.

In which case, Christians are worshipping an incredibly nasty individual Alien and are brainwashed into Believing that it was Satan who told 'Eve", "God is lying to you".. when in fact Enlil 'God' was lying to us humans and the 'Snake' was the one being Honest and Loving to us.. his manufactured Adamma model worker.

I believe in god, I really do. But I believe in a god that is not given to human emotion and judgement. I believe in a more "mathematical" god.

I know that you take this subject very seriously and personally, so I will try not to offend you.

I will take the Bible story of Adam and Eve with a grain of truth. I think that there were god like dieties that served as "overlords" during our innocence. Gods like Ra, your Yah-u-wah, Krishna, Baal, Zeus, I think might have existed. Eden may have been. If so, it was an experimental place, and others also dwelled on planet earth, outside of Eden. Fascinating stuff, imo.

That being said, this OT god really is an unpleasent fellow. I am inclined not to want to follow his teachings. Certainly, the Old Testament teachings do not apply to life as we know it today. Also, I don't feel that he is here, threatening us anymore. I don't think that there are any saviors on speed dial either.

I take the story of Adam and Eve as a warning that this god is a little schizophrenic, and bipolar. His need for blood sacrifice is more than a bit creepy, and isn't natural to humanity. Blood sacrifice comes from fear, not love. The only reason humans do a blood sacrifice is to satisfy some angry diety, not because of some instinct. The only reason humans kill is fear, or hunger.

Did god want to destroy humanity because of fear, fear that we had become aware and might become like him, as the bible suggests? Or, like a writer that is unhappy with his work, he wanted to take his paper/work and wad it up and toss it in the trash can. Was he unhappy with his creation, and just wanted to toss it away and start over? Why didn't he then? Are we to be greatful that he left us to live in this confused state, when he could have rebooted and done it again, right this time? Maybe he didn't because he didn't have the authority to do so. Maybe, even god had to answer to high source.

I don't think that we are alone, and I take solice in that. I also take solice knowing that the god of the OT has no hold over me.

Science does corroborate the bible, its just non believers do not see it because they do not read the bible and because they do not belong to Christ they have not his Holy Spirit to show them the story written in the words.

I concur with this point. Socrates said that wisdom is innate within all of us. This was a truth even before Christ came to bring salvation to this world. Everyone reflects their own degree of God, whether they choose to believe in Him or not. We are made in His image. Christ was the brightest reflection of the Father, and so to accept the gift of the Holy Spirit is to receive the key in seeing our own reflections of I AM. It grants us the ability to interpret the symbols of the bible in the context of our own lives. It is the red pill that asks us to question our perceived reality and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Truly I say that the Kingdom is within us all.

Heard it was his sister, Adam and Eve lived for nearly 1000 years. Plenty of breeding going on.

Hi,

That raises more questions then.

If it was his Sister, how did she come to be in the Land of Nod.. and who did she copulate with to create a land of peoples before Cain was tossed out of the garden to wander and eventually meet her and 'marry' ?

The Sumerian history makes a lot more sense... DNA from most likely Homo Erectus.. Clay of the Earth.. mixed with visitor DNA to produce a heavy-built worker who could not think around problems.. which required a second experimental model to be manufactured.. Homo Sapien Sapien.. us.. the Adamma.

In which case it's possible the Others in the Land of Nod were the first experimental workers who were superceded (spelling?).. we might think of them as Neanderthal.

Well, Adam and Eve were told to multiply and be fruitful and they started getting busy, being the prime progenitors logically the only chicks the sons would get to date would be their sisters. No surprise there, incest has been going on for thousands of years...sometimes still does. We get it from time to time in arkansas, mississippi and Kentucky, must be sumthin' in the water...

I fail to see how your math works.
If I round up 6661
I get 6661

Since there is not a decimal point to round.

example 6661.3 could be rounded up to 6662

(notice you simply drop the digits after the decimal point and add 1 to the number)

What form of "round the numbers up" are you trying?
