" WASHINGTON, December 3, 2011- U.S. foreign military sales overseen by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) passed the $30 billion mark for the fourth consecutive year, with the fiscal year 2011 total reaching $34.8 billion. "

The sales include cases signed by both the United States and our foreign partners through September 30,2011. The top ten FMS customers for fiscal year 2011 were the Afghan Security Forces ($5.4 billion); the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States ($4.9 billion); India ($4.5 billion); Australia ($3.9 billion); Saudi Arabia ($3.5 billion); Iraq ($2.0 billion); the United Arab Emirates ($1.5 billion); Israel ($1.4 billion); Japan ($0.5 billion); and Sweden ($0.5 billion).

Much of those monies goes to paying american jobs and taxes.

Defense is necessary and only natural social expenditure. Say thanks to those idiots whom spout and inspire fear, and then try to put the blame on US.

It would have save taxpayers of nations all over the world if each nation would willingly give up on our beastly natures, so that wars need no longer be fought, and expenditure better spent on education, heatlh, research and developement on tech and sciences for our progress and evolution.

Just too bad some humans see fit that killing innocents or national irresponsibility and belligerance contrary to international human rights is the only way to achieve their aims.

These are private companies selling these weapons...the US government doesnt make them. They only approve the sales.
