Apparently, Americans would prefer a Muslim President to an Atheist President

So let me get this striaght

We can have a Potus whose Muslim, or an Atheirst just not a Jewish or Christian.

Just kidding, I know that those allegations seem to have been proven false.

Here is why.

I would definitely prefer a Muslim, Buddhist, Jew, or Christian over anybody with no faith. Personally, I describe myself as a "Deist," but the label really isn't important so long as someone has "faith" in something. How can anyone lead and inspire hope, if they have no faith?

Faith is an act of the mind, not belief in a supernatural being. You can have faith and morality and ethics without having to believe in an invisible friend.

True. I think it has to be a belief in something more than the observable, but it certainly does not have to be an invisible friend, and it doesn't have to be personified or described in any way.
