I was working my overnight shift during new years eve. I went outside to my vehical around 11:40pm and noticed the moon was not only low in the horizon, but had a red tint to it. I live in the subburbs so there was no ciity lights to interfere. Around 12:00am, the moon started to set and siink below the tree line. It was a steady decrease, nothing I have ever witness before. Any one else notice a strange moon last night?

Even in the era of nano technology and micro books and all the laser tecnologies?
What is the point then to engrave coins if its going to be poor representation of original artwork?

It would probably cost more to mint than the coin is worth using such technologies. Don't forget coins need to be churned out quickly and efficiently just like everything else.
I think (I may be wrong) the original image is transcribed onto metal then reduced, so your bound to lose some quality along the way.edit on 1/1/2012 by Grifter81 because: (no reason given)

or is this indeed an freakin' Grey ET?
Not according to the artist Jason Bouwman .
The story, as told by the artist Jason Bouwman
The canoe has become as much a part of the Canadian visual lexicon as the Canada goose, the beaver and the maple leaf. This design shows a young person enjoying a recreational outing. The boy breaks from paddling to dip his hand in the water… and touches the past – the reflection reveals an early native paddler (or voyageur) in a traditional birch-bark canoe as it also appears on the early silver dollar of 1935.

Thank you. After all the videos and pictures I've looked through on ATS this is the first real and true picture of an alien that I've seen on this site.
