Koko an amazing Gorilla

I have never heard of Koko before today but Iam so glad I have found her,
She is a western lowland Gorilla who can sign over a thousand signs.

If you watch more of her video's you can see that she understand's what we are saying and she can form her own ideas from what she see's and tell us about them.
It really isnt hard to see how alike we are to our Great Ape brothers and to see that we do share a common ancestor with them because we are so alike.

S&F because I adore the great apes and find them fascinating! Thanks for the smiles! It is so sad they are endangered. They are sensitive, intelligent animals, and I am amazed at how much like us they are. Your videos are proof that animals have emotions and feelings, and should be treated as such. I KNOW! They are so human like. I could watch them forever. I don't know if I would like one full grown though (as a pet). Just think if you made them angry!

A video on Koko being told her companion All Ball had just been hit and killed by a logging truck.

Her reaction was quite human.

This is old footage of Koko the gorilla loving and caring for a pet kitten...and then crying whenever she finds out the kitty died. If anyone says animals don't feel emotions, show them this.

Privately, after the trainer had left you can hear Koko crying.
