If you have Google Earth, put 71 40 27 S 2 48 46 W into the map and it will take you there.

If you do not have Google Earth, put 71 40 27 S 2 48 46 W into Google search then hit maps and you will see the area in question.

I`m looking on iPad now.

It is just rock formations most likely.

I see some cool things in that picture. Probably something an Iceberg dragged along perhaps?

When i look at them .. i do notice some angular shapes (rectangle mainly). Perhaps cargo containers for the Research facility that is basically right next to it? To store their food for the 6 months perhaps? Fuel? Spare supplies?

I have just looked on google earth and here are some of the images that i think you are talking about.


I have no idea what these could be, though it may be forms of transport, snowcats or other means to suit environment


Obviously buildings or structures, however if you look at the area to the left, would you say.....oil?


This image looks like something pushing up from under the ice, also looks to have a square shape. Look at how the ice is cracking given the shape?
