Interesting how you flew before realizing that you were in a dream. I usually first become aware of me being in a dream, and my first reaction to prove it to myself is to lift off and fly. In the passed few years of lucid dream encounters this has become like a habit and like some of the members have written so far, it feels quite natural and easy, the sensation to me is unique as I have no way of experiencing the defiance of gravity. Sometimes I am limited by the sky, as if I were in the Truman show and sometimes I would travel great distances. I think only once was I hovering in a form different from my body, because the flight was very steady and had begun withouth me remembering it and it somehow felt like I had been flying for all my life. It's a good feeling to wake up with, knowing that your will could do miracles.
