Mormon's are Christians. I was Mormon for 5 years.

The one thing that amazed me the most when I was Mormon - - was how non-Mormons were such experts on Mormons.

Thats crazy? I thought that's called being a parent. Theres too much drama in the US. Discipline or rules are seen as "crazy"... "All I wanted to do was put my breasts and butt on display, is that so wrong?" Well no, especially if youre a male onlooker.

I dont like the idea of putting the crime of murder into a category.

Whether it be a "hate crime" or "honor killing" or whatever. Murder is murder.

Why is it any more or less heinous because of the motive?

None of the following were Muslims or "honor killings", is it any less of a tragedy? As though murder is problem only amongst Muslims...

I don't think he was saying that Mormons are not Christians, but that they are a cult and I was Mormon for a while, too. I personally think that all organized religion is a cult. Faith is a very personal thing and people shouldn't follow someone else's play book.

Holy cow the media had me on this one. Seen the article all over the place the last few days but didn't have any idea he was muslim... Not saying it really matters to me. But the media did an excellent job spinning this one. Thanks OP for sheeding some light on this. Would have missed it all together if it wasn't for you opening my eyes.

Iranians have honor killing, too and they are not Arab, but Muslim. I am not trying to argue one way or the other.

Why would a dude commit a "religious" honor killing, and then commit suicide, when suicide is forbidden????
