Very good post, we also have forgotten that since modern manufactured food, cancer is to become an epidemic

Considering the average lifespan jumped from about 50 years of age to about 80 - it should be no wonder that cancer has become a far more common cause of death after the immune system weakens with age and cancerous cell lines will reproduce far more reliably than the body's host cells.

along side with diabetes and obesity.

Fast-food and unprecedented access to processed and raw sugar couldn't possibly have anything to do with that, now could it?

Soda was a fancy, elegant beverage when it first came out. People didn't drink it with nearly every meal or eat at a restaurant that serves fries with everything with any kind of regularity.

People also led much more active lifestyles on the average "back then" - even if they came home from work to be a couch potato, their work kept them more than active enough to account for their caloric intake. This is not the case - yet the pass-time of coming home from work to relax in front of the television still exists in spite of the lack of physical exertion.

The military is fed the same food as the general public. Compare military populations to civilian populations of comparable ages and even professions. Obesity rates and health issues are lower in the military crowd, despite exposure to "GMO" products - often times eating more in terms of calories and mass than their civilian counterparts.

But hey we live longer but with less quality of life as people are more and more Dependant on drugs in order to treat their illnesses that are more related to side effects of environmental men created pollutants than diseases.

People on a balanced diet and exercise (regardless of whether or not it is "organic") are demonstrated to have longer lives with a greater quality of life and less reliance on medication.

Of course, marketing is mostly to blame on our fixation with medication. Ask any doctor - many issues can be just as effectively treated (statistically) with a change of lifestyle as opposed to taking medication. People choose to take the medication because they have been conditioned to believe by advertisements and social stigmas that medication is the most effective and reliable means of resolving one's medical problems. Not to mention - lifestyle changes require effort and initiative that many people simply don't have.

Every thing is just peachy, our future generations will be sicker by the time men finish tampering with nature in order to profit from it. But I bet big pharma will love it.

I love how you attempt to dissociate health and an individual's lifestyle.

"Buy organic, or DIE! It is your only recourse!"

Gee... ever wonder who pays for the advertising space on all of these pro-organic and "GMO awareness" sites?

As usual sofi, we know how it goes, those that controls food supplies control humanity, sadly they will control also populations life span.

I remember as a littler girl when all those science fiction movies used to be nothing but that "fiction", now they will become the biggest nightmare humanity will ever see and money and profits has priority over everything.

Every time a new "GMO" monster comes to invade our food chain I just wonder about our children future and the type of world they will have to live in.

I have no idea why this is needed or such a big deal. I've used 2,4-D on NON-GM crops for years. There is NO need to modify the crops in order to use it, in fact it is on the label of the chemical for use.

I don't believe in pesticides, and there are better alternatives such as permaculture, or incorporating natural pesticides such as Buffalo Gourd. I wouldn't use 2-4D on my own vegetables.

However, because I'm a also a chemist I have a feeling this story is somewhat biased, because I know Agent Orange was a PCB.

2-4 D is not a poly-chlorinated bi-phenyl (PCB)

In 1969, it was revealed to the public that Agent Orange 2,4,5-T was contaminated with a dioxin 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin (PCB)

The story is a carefully placed Red Herring. The real conspiracy is:

The fact that this GMO corn was specifically designed to absorb the pesticide. This will pass on the pesticide to you.

Forget about buying corn tortillas, corn flakes etc.

Except 2,4-D breaks down in plant tissue....so are you saying thy are also modifying the corn so it does not break down in plant tissue? What's the evidence for that??

This just appeared on Yahoo.

Bugs may be resistant to genetically modified corn

Seems nature does not like GM crops. Apparently, this corn was supposed to produce its own insecticide to kill rootworms, but they are becoming immune to it, just as weeds are becoming immune to roundup in other "roundup ready" GM crops.

Go Mother Nature!

A plant that "produces its own insecticide" to poison rootworm?

I don't know it this is the same variety of GM corn, but it makes sense to me.

excuse me but what an ignorant & arrogant statement to make.. What makes you so special & higher up on food chain? Hello it takes 2 to make babies.. Tarts cant immaculently concieve & of course sex industry & sex traffiking must be a booming industry 2 satisfy all those degenerative women. Here i was thinking men were main customers that kept these wheels turning. If do gooders & the corrupt left the 3rd world countries alone & their traditions left untainted then overpopulation wouldnt be a problem. They were hunters & gathers which worked fine - then came traders, christians etc who cried savages we know better... It was beginning of end for them. I bet you wouldnt say no if someone offered you a blood diamond as this post suggests such a mineset to me. Someone who whines about state of worid, & doesnt even have a simple compost bin, or the likes. Your post only cont

it only serves to strengthen my fears that worlds doomed coz we cant save ourselves from ourselves. It may well be that a mindset such as yours has led the world to where it is. How much research have you actually put into such topics before preaching such an opinion? Let me guess, women are tramps & men are studs!! What about the dogooders who say go forth & multiply? What are you actually doing to save our planet that makes your life more valuable than others? Dont take offence to whats being said here, instead please consider these words. The world may not be as black & white as you think.

I'm just going to clarify the vocabulary here because I think if we were to rethink our situation, things might make more sense.

There is no such thing as a weed in nature. Any and all plants are either relevant to their ecosystem (forming a symbiosis or closing a semiosic loop...ie, hakuna matata, it's the circle of life and what not) or they were introduced by external forces, such as birds, mammals or purposefully grown by humans in a new area (invasive species).

The concept of "weed" is completely of human semantic design. We have defined "weed" to mean any undesirable plant that takes up space (real or aesthetic) and competes against the desirable crops.

With that in mind, it seems utterly idiotic to go around spraying chemicals on dandelions and plantains (the little green plants that grow in the northern States and Canada, not the tropical fruit), when you consider that those two plants are food in their own right. And, assuming there are plants that have no edible value for humans, we should also realize that plants don't just exist for their own purpose. Again, they are there for a reason, even if that reason is lost on man. I'm sure there are several other species of mammals, birds and insects that, if given the chance, would tell you they like that and need it.

So, I guess my point is this. Weed is a figment of our imaginations, a non-class of items that have as their defining Gestalt, "undesirable plant". Often, the lack of desire is purely based on norm and ignorance.

As a secondary example, consider vegetable. It's another non-class. There is nothing related about broccoli, potatoes, carrots and peas. There's no class found in nature to which all of these items belong. Vegetable is defined as a plant, in whole or in part, that is prepared in a savory way, as opposed to a sweet way, such as fruits. All it takes is a cross over like the tomato or avocado to see that the group falls apart with real empirical scrutiny. All of our Gestalt groupings are completely the product of egocentric cultural norms.

With my own research i discovered all roads lead to the royal family not rome. Rather than re-type my theory here, my posts under the thread human remains found at queens winter retreat outlines the theory. Dianas scotish bloodline is the missing link that ties it all together in a neat bow. Nwo, freemasons, illuminati, georgia guidestones, etc the royals are top of the foodchain, calling all the shots, with their elite group of followers, & sheep. They may be delusional, but truly believe they are the enlightened ones, & we mere mortals belong in the stockade with the rest of the livestock, & they are working towards making this a reality. Take a look and you will see that the evidence speaks for itself. Prince phillip said he wanted to be reincarnated as a super virus and cure the world of overpopulation. They intend to rule the world as gods and force us into slavery. To them we are a cancer to the world that they intend to cure. I kid not! The elite group includes the likes of world media monguals, oprah winfrey, bill gates, rothschild, prince phillips etc the freemasons is just one tool in many under their control. The corporation you mention is merely a tool, and the power base extends much further. The royals are the king pins of it all. Sounds bizzar but as stated in all my extensive research it kept linking back to royals, and when i uncovered the significance of dianas bloodline and the link to king arthur (the real 1 not the fable) & illuminati the puzzle pieces all fell into place. Diana links it all together, and the royals are far more sinister than could ever be imagined!

I see someone has done their research, but good luck trying to educate the masses. In my experience it seems to fall on deaf ears. Dandelion is classed as weed, yet is 1 of the best things you can take for your liver as a detoxifier. Happy liver=happy body just 1 cup of dandelion root coffee per day is all it takes. Plants classed as weeds usually have huge medicinal properties ie stinging nettle. Clover is a weed yet its root system works to add nitrogen to the soil, & if its growing in your lawn it indicates your soil is nitrogen deficient. Nature administers her own remedies... Yay! a voice of reason - Thumbs up on your post.
