It's Time To Act Against These Psychos!

Hi everyone. This is a very unpleasant subject, but it can't be ignored anymore. I am literally in tears and so upset I can barely breathe. I came across a story about this subhuman named Kenny Glen...who is a pyschopath who enjoys torturing his cat and filming it. The story is from 2009 I think, but I had not heard of it.It is still happening every day. It is the most heartbreaking story I have ever seen, and I decided today is the day I will try to make a difference if I can. He's not the only one. There are videos all over youtube, and youtube takes some of them down, while leaving others. I just saw one where a douchebag drop kicks his cat across the room laughing hysterically. I guess cat kicking passes the youtube test. Youtube says they have "standards" but yet you can find animal abuse, and all kinds of vile things there. They need to somehow crack down on this....I know.....how??? I don't know. I'm just so angry right now. Dusty (the beautful grey cat he abused) is in a good home now and being loved and cared for....but at this moment, it's going on somewhere else. This kid got a slap on the wrist! I don't advise sensitive people to watch the original video from this p**** (I won't link it either, it's easy to find)....but this kid is mentally disturbed. Someone needs to do something in regards to him as he is one sick sob.....he laughs maniacally through the whole thing. As for Google and Youtube....they need to stop allowing this kind of s***! Yeah yeah....I know it's all over, but youtube is frequented by kids mostly. I think they can do better. These FREAKS do this and post it on youtube for kicks. I don't know, maybe I am foolish, but I want to try to get as many people as I can to email Google and especially Youtube and complain about it. PLEASE.
Oh....and please don't come back saying "why are you worried about a stupid animal" and all that.Because I care that's why. If you don't like cats or care about the issue, then don't post.....thanks.

The video below doesn't show abuse, just some pics of Dusty then, living with this psycho (his eyes say it all)....and now, in the loving home he deserves....God bless his little heart...PLEASE send that email and try to make a difference. It may be wishful thinking, but we can TRY.

as a major cat lover i'm so glad to see dusty living a good life now, but, on the other hand i'm so filled with rage at that SOB that i would love to beat the # out of him until he's paralized from the neck down.

I am too....the kid is a danger....I could see him doing worse than this. The video ( I lasted maybe 2 seconds and couldn't watch it) has him laughing like a maniac as he went to get the cat who he had trapped in the shower. I was going to try to watch it so I could know exactly what I was posting on, but couldn't do it. I am still crying just from his laughter. Dusty is living a pampered life now. I wish I could have adopted him. This trend is so disturbing to me. I sent multiple emails to both Google and Youtube....it probably won't do much, but I felt like I had to try to do SOMETHING.

First of all....thanks for calling me an idiot. I just TOLD everyone it existed! If you really must see the carnage, may I suggest you google Kenny Glen. Second of all....I have a video up on the story. It's from 2009 and he was caught and the cat is in a loving home. Instead of jumping on here attacking me for trying to do something good, why don't you do as I suggested and email Google and Youtube and do something constructive. I am only trying to help.

Yea kenny will get what is coming to him. He did get arrested right?

What more can you do besides flag his videos and contact the authorties ?


Animal abuse sure does suck , and its sad to see sick freaks like that , who prowl society to get kicks out of it. But what they have in common with seriel killers is a lack of empthy. Some enviromental damage done to the neurons in their brains . No its no excuse for his behavoir , but just an insight into their minds and how they can do such things.


But many of these people are being caught thanks to youtube and the internet because they are dumb enough to post it online.


Personally im not a fan of cats , i had one cat and it strach me one day because i tried to make it move off my couch :*( . We were never buddies ever since ! You don't see me kicking him when im having a bad day . I just ignore that cat now and hes cut off from any luvin ^^


I am curious though from the ladies who get teary eyed when seeing animals abused like this. Do you guys get the same emotional response when seeing a child missing a limb after a shell has been dropped? Or is that feeling not as emotion striking as acts on cats?

I am a cat lover (animal lover)...and after reading your thread...I am in tears. My cat Benjamin I rescued...he was abandoned in the middle of winter (Dec. 2009) in the snow.....someone found him....turned him into an animal shelter and 3 weeks later I arrived at that shelter and found him. It was love at first sight. He has been with me 2 years now...he is a part of the family...he is so dear and precious. When I first got him...he was so afraid..hurt...and sad. Now with a lot of love and caring he is happy, healthy and he knows he is safe and with a human Mommy that truly loves him.

So...when I read about vile, evil people that abuse animals....I get very angry. You know...in the the profiles of many serial killers when they were young...they started out by abusing and killing animals. I'm just saying.

How can we stop this? Is there a way to have a good valid screening process?

Why all the fuss is over Google and Youtube? They do not allow videos of animal cruelty, just as ATS doesn't allow calling each other names. But it happens. It's not the fault of the host of the content. They do their best to protect viewers from these types of videos. But they only have so many eyes, and they know this. That's why they allow users to report videos that violate the terms and conditions.

Your anger should be directed at the pieces of [snip] that do this sort of thing. These companies are doing what they can to filter and remove many many videos, it's just inconceivable that they could catch em all.

I think a much more effective approach would be in the formation of a group of animal rights activists who are willing to dredge through Youtube/Google and seek these videos out that automated robots and staff have missed. You don't need permission, all you need is some people willing to dedicate a few hours per week.

Anyway, just my two bits. Just keep in mind, this stuff will always exist, same as gore and child porn. Don't rely on a corporation to shield you from it, you gotta keep your own guard up.

The abuser lives in a small town and his Daddy has connections. He's back at school and doing fine. Just got a slap on the wrist. My issue is this...even more than jail, these types need psychiatric intervention....like you said, it can move on to worse things. It's not just cats....it's other animals as well. Like I said, this is an old story, but it's relevant because it goes on every day, and posting this stuff daily.

Caledonia....I wish I knew the answer. My issue with youtube is this. They say they don't allow this kind of thing, but you can find "funny" videos of a******* kicking their cats across the room (or dogs, hamsters...whatever) and they don't get taken down. They need a stricter policy. I don't know how, but I wish there were a way.

I know what you're saying LS...and you are right....I guess I should have calmed down a little before posting. But like I said in the above posts, it shouldn't be allowed in any form, and the "kicking" vids are still there, even though myself and my friends flagged it. I mean, allow it or don't. I just got so upset about this that I want to do something....and maybe I'll do just what you said....flag the hell out of these vids. Unfortunatley, it takes a lot of time, so if others can help, if it matters, please do it. I am just angry and feel so bad about it. Thanks for the suggestion...I'll do that.

yea thanks for telling us, but your making out like google and youtube should remove these videos from their servers before people see them ! can you explain why you would want them to do that ? and by the way sorry for calling you an idiot it was my initial reaction to what i thought was a pretty dumb rant. and if kenny glenn lived within 20 miles of me i'd get a group of my hard hitting peers together and lynch him ... if i emailed google and youtube i would say "" dear google and youtube thanks for allowing this to be posted so i can feel angry about ppl who do these types of deeds""

Apology accepted. I know youtube can't stop people from seeing them when they are first posted. I wish I could edit my title, I was angry when I posted it (still am )... my issue is with youtube is that some are removed and some aren't. It needs to be no abuse period....even what some seem to think is "funny"....I don't think it was a dumb rant though. It's just something I feel strongly about. I apoligize for snapping back...I just want to make people aware and trying to think of something that can be done. I guess I'm a dreamer....

Animal abuse is on par with human abuse, no matter how you slice it. Purposely hurting a living thing shows a disturbed mind that needs help. That's why I'm not angry with whoever did that to Dusty, nor do I feel the need to beat him up, as some have suggested. An act like thos arises out of a sickness that needs to be cured, and if the "infected" show no signs of regretting and changing, then the only viable solution is punishment, keeping him away from people and animals, and not allowing his sickness to spread.

I had the mods take out the Google and youtube part out of the title. Though I still feel like thay could still be stricter on their criteria of what is acceptable, and I still urge everyone to email them about what constitutes abuse. My anger is at the people who do these things most of all.

I edited the title for you, I understand and completely empathize with you on this issue but, being a media company owner with a website that gets pretty fair traffic I also know that it's impossible to catch it all. With 8000+ new posts a day here on ATS (on a regular, non holiday) there's just no way the staff can see it all.

That's why the Member "alert" system is so important. YouTube and Google do really try to remove the flagged stuff, but, you have to realize they get thousands of "flags" a day. I know several people at Google and YouTube, they truly hate this crap being on their sites just as we do here at ATS.

I have a Great Dane named Fred, if ANYONE ever hurt him I'm pretty sure I'd be in prison. Animal cruelty is right there with child abuse in my mind, DISGUSTING. It's also widely held that kids who torture animals are many, many times more likely to become violent criminals. Almost every single serial killer admitted to torturing animals when they were kids.

You have every right to be infuriated, I don't believe anyone needs to apologise for passion. There are so many examples of this it is difficult to believe people can be so low but never-the-less they exist therefore it is up to those around them to educate and yes take action such as this. I see no reason why videos cannot be filtered algorithmically, aside from cost of course, but it no doubt is achievable. Thanks for sharing, even if the topic is not one I like, I think it's best to acknowledge and deal with these issues head-on not sweeping them under the carpet.

Thanks Springer....I appreciate you doing that for me. I should have calmed down before I posted. I know it's impossible to eliminate it completely. I guess the real issue is like you said about the mental state of the individuals who do this. It's scary to think this kid probably won't get psychiatric help. His laughter was so disturbing. Thanks again for editing that for me!

Thanks....I'm glad you understand my intentions. I think the reason this particular story got to me this bad is because Dusty looks so much like my cat Smoochy. He doesn't know what fear is, and has known only love and affection his whole life. When i saw the pic of Dusty and the look in his eyes, I just fell apart. I can't understand it, and it seems to me there has to be some way of reducing it, though I understand it's probably impossible. It's always happened and always will, but I want to help..........that's all.

I remember hearing about this while the little SOB was being tracked down. In my experience YouTube is pretty good about taking down offensive content, but as others have said think about the amount of videos and reports they have to sift through daily. I would think that a lot of people click that little flag button for innocuous things like anti Justin Bieber videos etc.
