Ok guys, we are down to two candidates
One republican and one Democrat

Who in your opienion would AIPAC be supporting?

I think it would be Obama, despite Ron Paul being a zionist in it's orginal and truest sense.

i think all the issues Obama has had with Netanyhu has been nothing more than puppet shows for the public
Alll staged

Thoughts ATS?

Ron Paul WILL NOT be the Republican nominee. The Republican Party party leadership has already decreed that their boy RINO Mitt Romney get his chance to run for president.

Ron Paul? Definitely not.

Obama, the first U.S. president to tell AIPAC the truth

I'm sure they don't like Obama too much either, but they'll take him over Paul

Not sure who they would support? But, it appears that O truly dislikes Netanyhu. Most of the time people will not look another in the eye if they cant stand them.

You have actually asked a good question, thanks for bringing it up.

And "Zion" is an interesting term.

Zion O.E. Sion, from Gk. Seon, from Heb. Tsiyon, name of a Canaanite hill fortress in Jerusalem captured by David and called in the Bible "City of David." It became the center of Jewish life and worship.

Zion (Hebrew: ציון‎) (also transliterated Sion, Tzion or Tsion) is a place name often used as a synonym for Jerusalem.[1][2] The word is first found in Samuel II, 5:7 dating to c.630-540 BCE. It commonly referred to a specific mountain near Jerusalem (Mount Zion), on which stood a Jebusite fortress of the same name that was conquered by David and was named the City of David. The term Tzion came to designate the area of Jerusalem where the fortress stood, and later became a metonym for Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem, the city of Jerusalem and generally, the World to Come. In Kabbalah the more esoteric reference is made to Tzion[3] being the spiritual point from which reality emerges, located in the Holy of Holies of the First, Second and Third Temple.

So it's references are literal and metaphorical.

Look at the metaphorical meaning, "The spiritual point from which reality emerges." The "World to Come".
This is very meaningful and profound.

You mean a type of distraction to cause us to placate and allow just one more day of nonsense to go on without putting an end to it? Buying time? Appeasement? Pacify us? Prey upon our good will?

That is a fitting description.

I would be suprised if they didn't support the republicans regardless of who wins the primaries.

American republicanism and jewish zionism go hand-in-hand, in that they are both religious fanatics.

Given a choice they would likely promote non-secularism or at least encourage religion in schools, comunities, etc.

just my opinion!
