Prominent Egyptian blogger and activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah is due to be released according to a report in Ahram Online on Sunday which quotes his family members.
The blogger who was thrust to the international spotlight when he was detained on October 30 on charges that included inciting violence during an October attack by the military on Coptic rights protesters created an outcry in Egypt abroad.
