what's up with that, heck i might as well send Gobi a gift voucher from KFC. Did he just receive several undeclared not taxed millions from the black budget to stir things up. Word of advice here, do not intervene into Ruskys politics as that aint iran or syria. Remember what happened last time a nation trusted the U.N. and U.S. see georgia

I just read that too. News is coming in thick & fast.

Moscow protesters' resolution

Free all political prisoners and those unjustly convicted

Cancel the results of the fabricated elections

Sack and investigate election commission chief Vladimir Churov

Register all political parties and reform electoral law before March election

Hold new, open and honest elections

Create a Moscow Voters' Association to investigate ballot-rigging

Ask all Russians "not to give a single vote to Vladimir Putin" on 4 March

(Source: expanded OP article)

Wow, things really have changed — check out the political rap at today's demo:

color revolution in progress.

One thing. If the protests are liberal oriented or led by liberals and are fired upon, people won't give a damn.If its commie led ,then military will disobey because most russian military has communist sympathy.

I think civil war would be a possibility. All men have undergone military service...

Very thought-provoking. But such a coup would have to come from the very top. There's no way it could start from the bottom up.

Liberals are the most hated bunch in Russia.A lot of people will celebrate if liberals are killed.Communists are distancing themselves from liberal protesters.Check Ivanoshov's and Zygunov's statements calling them subversives working for american imperialists.Alexei Navalny is nothing compared to the support the hardliner Zygunov has.Western media tries to make it look like its want of liberal democracy. Its want of restoration of communist social safety nets and nationalizing the resources stolen by the liberal oiligarchs and the West even if it involves mass thermonuclear war. Neo-nazis like Zhirinovsky and Limonov have promised this several times and this is why they are extremely popular among the russian youngsters who see Putin as weak against American Zog empire.Note: zog means zionist occupied govt. This is what I have known from russians on stormfront and facebook.

Very thought-provoking. But such a coup would have to come from the very top. There's no way it could start from the bottom up.

Both. But Putin has support in military but zygunov much more. The only way civil war will happen if Putin moves against commies and that would be political suicide for Putin.

You bring a fascinating perspective.

Liberals are the most hated bunch in Russia.A lot of people will celebrate if liberals are killed.Communists are distancing themselves from liberal protesters.

Things are certainly massively polarised. I expect it all depends on the size of future protests. Perhaps there is a 'silent majority' that is only now finding its voice. Elections are certainly no reliable indicator. And how reliable are the polls?

Taking liberal democracy in its broadest sense, there are surely untold masses in this day and age who want a complete break from the past, particularly amongst the younger generation. At the same time the picture is complex, and without a free media many people's attention has obviously been channeled in predetermined directions.

In addition the outcome of any confrontation between Putin / Medvedev and the Communists would be difficult to predict. Perhaps the military holds the key after all. Then it's back to square one...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Your thread was about Clinton wanting to investigate somebody else's business, this thread is about a turn out of Russia's population against their government!

Completely different topic!

I can't stand Hillary
but she and the Protestants have common ground here.

Nice try though.

Yep, someone in the US power base calls something before it happens and many American members of this forum jump down her throat and attack US policy despite claiming to love their home.

What they hoped not to happen comes true which in turn angers the Russian people into finally taking action with their leaders who still wish to control like the Soviet dictators of old and those same American and freedom loving people are all smiles and partying.

As long as the US or anybody else doesn't step on any Iranian supporting, Jew hating toes even if that helps to stop trouble brewing before any seeds of strife can be planted, right?

Hoooooome of theeeeee braaaaaaaaaaaaaave.....

Younger generation is most nostalgic ABOUT STALIN.YES ABOUT STALIN they see him as a 'hero who stood up to the Zog empire and died fighting'.

There is no support for liberals again. Most russian youngsters want to see liberals and jews executed, because they blame them for their poverty. Think again.Putin is smart and does balancing act. But Russians are not satisfied ,they want very severe and drastic steps even if it involves a world war.Hell there is a lot of anger among russians against jews and liberals. You would be amazed.

I believe you are overstating your case. I dare say he does have some supporters amongst young people, but it is generally the older generation that hearks back to that era.

There is no support for liberals again.

Again, I wonder how many people the 100,000 protesters on the streets of Moscow represent. It is certainly more than you are saying! Perhaps we need to define our terms:

Liberal democracy, also known as constitutional democracy, is a common form of representative democracy. According to the principles of liberal democracy, elections should be free and fair, and the political process should be competitive.

Source

That's what the protesters want. How can you say they have no support?

Most russian youngsters want to see liberals and jews executed, because they blame them for their poverty.

You seem to be saying the younger generation longs for a fascist state. Forgive me, but you are now coming across as an advocate for your own, extreme agenda, and I'm even more convinced you have overstated your case. It is still interesting to get your perspective, nonetheless.

But Russians are not satisfied, they want very severe and drastic steps even if it involves a world war.

Subtlety is not your forté is it? May I ask which candidate best represents your point of view?

Hell there is a lot of anger among russians against jews and liberals.

I dare say Jews & liberals are less than happy about such sentiments. Do you recognize them as human beings, just like yourself?

You would think that this anger would be better directed at the Oligarchy established with much help from Putin, who in turn made many of his friends wealthy and put into positions of power. The level of corruption is amazing in Russia, and the concentration of wealth is incredible. You have Billionaires and Millionaires moving away to live in London, Dublin, Paris and elsewhere while the vast majority of the country rides a volatile roller coaster of growth and collapse. Prior to 2008 everything in Russia appeared to be ok .. there was some growth, there was a growing middle class, record numbers of people breaking out into millionaire status.. but today, it's dissolute and who's to blame? Country leaders.

You do not understand dynamics of russian society yet.And its not 100,000 certainly.around 45000-50000 now. And moscow has 20 million people .

windowoneurasia.blogspot.com...

Maybe a few very popular posters among the neo-nazis and the communists...

t3.gstatic.com...:ANd9GcRIbKNvrsYUxehBZyVEGy7pazKaxNQ66ULB2Q2u7T4NA9kuGtmC

Think again and research thoroughly on the dynamics there.Liberals are the biggest rabble rousers there.Mostly they try organize protests and is failure. But due to fraud this time they have garnered large masses.

You seem to be saying the younger generation longs for a fascist state. Forgive me, but you are now coming across as an advocate for your own, extreme agenda, and I'm even more convinced you have overstated your case. It is still interesting to get your perspective, nonetheless.

go to Russia and ask for once from the russianYoungsters themselves. My cousin has been severely injured in an attack by the nazbol youngsters and this nazbol and slavic union movements are very popular among the youngsters. check the polls on Vkontakte.

Subtlety is not your forté is it? May I ask which candidate best represents your point of view?

None Though Fair Russia seemed fine to me.I am not russian but have studied at friendship university moscow and have russian friends.Their preference was KPRF Zygunov who much more sane compared to the slavic union or nazbol types who are wildly popular among the youngsters .

Do you know who won the elections?

Communist hardliner Zygunov.

Second most popular among youngsters?

neo-nazis and Nazbols.

First?

Communists.

Are you a Putin youth party member? Seems like it.

Do you know WHY the commie party was elected? Because the russian masses had no other better choice. It was only a protest vote, but the results DO proof that Putin's cronisim and facism is the last thing the suffering masses want.

Rest assured, even if the commies are elected again, but screws up the country, the masses will be OUT on the streets again, with protests or strikes, or should violence be used against them by the authorities, the guillotines will be wheeled out. just as Egypt and Libya had proven.

We are only humans, at the very basic stage before our differences man made set us apart. But the longings for a civilised society with responsible freedoms will never die.

Watch and see.

That was a polite and informative response. Sorry if I mistook your intentions. (But talking about executing Jews & liberals came across as truly extreme.)

You seem to agree that it is a desire for fair elections that has brought people onto the streets. Even if it was nearer 50,000 than 100,000, as you suggest, that still represents a lot of people. I think we can agree that these protests are not going away.

Perhaps you could explain to some of us who may not understand the terminology.. In Russia, what exactly is a "Liberal"

In the United States a "Liberal" "Progressive" "Socialist" "Communist" they are all roughly the same thing. Many in the US see Russia as a Socialist State, and thus Liberal. "Left leaning" if you will.

the thing is not about protests. The thing is about total failure of Putin in maintaining the social safety nets which has brought russians to protest.Secondly there have larger protests than this organized by communists in Novibirisk,Vladivostok,St.Petersburg and Volgograd.Larger than this and not a peep in the western media.

Here's a very popular poster among russian nationalists ,neo-nazis and communists too.

Think about it.nationalist and communist Russians see Putin as a jewish protector and friend of USA.

Putin is KGB, that is enough to want him out of there, but at least he's not a sellout to the NWO like all our leaders in the west. So he got that going for him... but really that's the only thing he got going for him.

Anyway they are reporting that there's more than 120 000 people just around Moscow protesting.

More than 100,000 take to the streets across Russia to protest election fraud

Thanks. It's always interesting to see how different terms are used throughout the World.. such as the Democratic Party in many countries are polar opposites of each other. The Russian definition of a Liberal is akin to the American definition of a Progressive Liberal: Globalist, intrusive, pro-immigration, anti-border etc.

So wrong.. and so true? Maybe we mean different things by "wrong". I consider it "morally" wrong.
