I just moved from Waukegan in '07 to Appleton, WI. I still have family and friends there. I'll ask them in the morning. Not sure if I felt it here in Appleton but around that time I "heard" what sounded like a jumbo jet taking off from Outagamie Airport... felt it rumbling a little but I'm pretty sure it was just a jet taking off.

The epicenter was around 9 or 10 miles west of my house. Were going to go out this morning and find the exact spot. The area is some residential, some forest preserve also the Fox River runs very close. And also some small industrial sites. Nothing that would be digging. I was laying in bed and I felt the house make a jolt from north to south. At first I thought it was a large truck but realized there was no truck. There was no loud boom like the last one.

The trumpets of god- hoax?
It sure as hell ain't the Northern Lights.
As credible as fireworks.

In the fall of 2010, there were meetings just like this in Arkansas. These meetings remind of the town meeting on Amity Island.

Fingernails claw the chalkboard.
I get a chill.

Sweetie, how can no one pay attention to a cat that peers through your soul?

I already replied in the Tokyo thread after Human posted it in there:

I live in Ft Wayne, not far from
New Haven. It really shook our
house and ratteled the windows.
It felt like a short quake. Actually
we have loud noises and shaking
of the house from time to time but
this one was different.

U.S. President Obama states that America is the Saudi Arabia of Natural Gas. The policy is set.

Indiana fracking.

And it's not just drilling. There are injection wells in Indiana and Illinois. Seems we think disposing of waste underground is a good idea.

All that noise we're hearing, it's just the continent settling. You know, houses settle. What's a few cracks in the basement gonna do?

That noise, the one that sounds like the gods are moving around filing cabinets up in the heavens, it's just the heavens I've been told. Don't worry.
The other noise, the hum.
Windsor is humming because them people is happy.
Happy they ain't in Detroit.

"Hey, lay off Detroit. Them people is going through Mad Max times."

The only problem is that Chicago is full of underground tunnels....I bet when they start collapsing someone will realize that what they've done is a huge mistake , then move on to the next one....they could care less.

How dare you sigh at me......
And yes, I was actually getting a little nervous for those folks over there in paradise.

I do not know a millionth of what a few on this thread know about all this shaking going on; However, I am learning and have tried to pay attention to patterns, the sun and the moon angle, various cloud anomalies, you know--- the to answer your sigh--- the answer is yes!

Shhh. Don't wake up the earthquakes.
It is right to think there is a lull. This following the outburst near Kiwiland. Before that Crete and Northern Italy were talking to each other. Heck, California is slow as molassass. Clustering. It's about clustering. Earthquakes are like people. They like to follow trends and gather together like teen girls in the mall.

Me thinks a big one is coming. I think America is being squeezed. Something Central maybe. Who knows, maybe a volcano.

I didn't see the name on the USGS 7 days list so thought I would check when the last one was.
Easily done just use the Edit/Find feature on your browser will search the page for the word you enter..
21 days seemed a long timewith no entries for Vanuatu.
Its an area I keep an eye on, there are no known risks of a Mag 8.5+, which could cause a SW Pacific Tsunami, but hey you never know these days, doesn't hurt to keep one eye to the NW (in my case)
Of course Tonga and Fiji are also in my viewfinder every day.

Further research reveals that the only 8's recorded near Vanuatu are to the SW at the New Hebrides Trench

Dear USGS,

I have a bone to pick.

First, let's get our geography correct. It's not Manitoba. It was in Saskatchewan. Okay, all together now, say, Saskatchewan. Then say, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The capital of Saskatchewan is Regina.

Funny thing is there's no listing on the Canadian site. But I don't doubt that something shook, even if I can't find the siesmo readings. When you look on the Google map you find it's right near a mine. Probably Potash. Say that three times fast followed by Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
