the whole point of the above is for the rest of the world to be cut off from americas productions, so whatever they do won't really affect us. why be tied into that? soon whoever has the most oil won't matter. by the year 2100, oil will be as scarce as flyin monkeys. if we are the first to develop a stand alone hydrocell economy, while making it a lil bit harder now, in a bit, we can come back into the world and maximize profits off our new technologies putting us a century ahead of everyone else. maybe the corporations are too corrupted by their own power to see what would be better for the whole, so that's why we must either do something politcally, or make these corporations realise their faults and the new oppurtunities, by any means neccessary. even so, the gov't will have to change.

The problem with cutting off the rest of the world from American production (of oil or otherwise) is that you cutting off a HUGE section of your paying customers. Sure you can produce oil or a product, and sell it to every single of the 300 million Americans, but thats all you can sell... and it wont be enough to run the entire economy.

it could just as well be a slow disaffiliation rather than a severing of all ties to anyone. the goal of this though, would be to change the economy so that those foriegn customers wouldn't matter until we say they are.

You attempt to make one believe that it is a fact that the U.S. has tried to fool the
world into believing something that is not true. posted by Thomas

This indeed happened if your President is the responsible leader of the United States.

Your statements regarding the US "exporting its inflation to the third world" shows how
little you know about economics. posted by Dragonrider

A US standalone economy is impossible posted by Dragonrider

Agreed. Alone, any western nation would fall a couple of years back in economic developement.
