"...yes there is a Santa Claus." as one astronaut said as they came from around the backside of the moon, for instance.

Instance of what, please? Of unacknowledged secrets on the back side of the Moon? I think not.

Fact is, it was a coded message that teh astronauts understood. "Santa Claus" was frequently used as the subject in such communications. To use Santa Claus as a message of the completion of one of the maneuvers would be illogical since there were automated data streams of information and radar tracking from the earth and aboard the orbiter to confirm that the maneuver was successful.

How do you know it was a coded message? Who told you that?

It's not true that Mission Control would have known from telemetry that the retro-burn had been successful. It would have taken quite some time to work that out. Have you ever seen the videos of 1968 Mission Control? Those guys were USING SLIDE RULES.

Great replies. HOWEVER, what do any of these comments have anything to do with what Hoagland is being called out for? The UFO DIARIES, THE SECRET FACES OF MARS IMAGES,.. & HIS CONNECTIONS TO 'THEM'! These images, & THOSE BEHIND THE PROGRAM!

Seems maybe some are trying to steer away discussion from the IMPORTANT FACTS & FACTORS of this topic that someone really wanted to be looked at & discussed?! But hey, maybe some are slow to the facts & not yet let it all sink in? Changes perceptions & paradigms! LOL!

Let me ask this please:

Why would NASA want Hoagland to hold back info but yet allows Ken Johnston speak? It makes no sense.
Johnston is at least verifiable as far as his ties with NASA unlike Hoagland who for all we know might've only been a janitor for NASA.

So why is Ken allowed to talk (and get FIRED for doing so lending MORE credence to his claims) and yet some of you think Hoagland is holding out? It makes no sense.

Ken Johnston will be on C2C tonight Den 25th.

Here's an old Johnston interview:

Correction, Ken was not fired from his NASA employment. He resigned from Solar System Ambassadors, a voluntary, unpaid position, after questions were raised about his credentials.

Oh you noticed that too?

I have noticed many replies (not all) have only spoken about Hoagland rather than the images that is the real meat of this topic. Maybe this was my fault as the topic title I choose really emphasizes Hoaglands agenda rather than the actual images from the documentary.

He needs to address this issue about the imagery - once and for all. After again listening to the www.blogtalkradio.com... interview of you Gary - I am very surprised this has not got more attention, on forums such as this. But you have some heavy hitting "lunatics" on this thread supporting you, which should be encouraging to you.

Eventually the truth will suffice - once there are more people who demand to know this - and hit his facebook page asking the same question - he will have to address the issue - as well as many others...

WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS HOAGLAND?

I really find the fact he never addresses others Moon anomaly work such as mikesingh or zorgon or easynow or E1 or .... and so on ....

To me that IS VERY interesting!

STILL WAITING FOR THE IMAGES HOAGLAND!

Ya, good ol' slide rules. Imagine that. Such a crude instrument! How could those planes have flown?

Well, I've used a slide rule for many years and it works just fine, if you know how to use them. Analog is pretty darn good way of calculating. They even got the trajectories right and the orbits and all. Gee Whiz! All they had was an ol' IBM 360-50. Shoot, you could hardly play tic tac toe on it and if you wanted to do any figurin' on it, ya had to get an appointment and only so much calculating time.

Fact is, the world is analog and we just try to digitize it. Slide rules were very accurate to a few decimal places, depending on the calculation. They were great and they didn't need batteries.

As for the comment about the buildings on the moon and all, here is a source who has a couple of nuts loose, maybe, but the baseline of his story sounds solid:

CoastZone Newsletter (Weekend Edition Dec. 26, 2011) www.coasttocoastam.com

Lunar Anomalies:

Ken Johnston, who worked for NASA's Lunar Receiving Laboratory during the Apollo missions, says he was fired for telling the truth. He joined George Knapp on Sunday night to share his contention that NASA knows there is evidence for both modern and ancient artifacts on the moon, as well as an active base there. He explained that in his position as Photo Control Dept. manager, he had access to highly detailed film and negatives taken during the Apollo missions. In viewing 16mm film shot by Apollo 14, they saw a shadow cast in the bottom of a crater, "and as we approached it, in the dark area there were like five domes lit from the inside, and a little plume that looked like steam streaking up above it," Johnston said.

There are also Apollo pictures that show perfectly round holes, which he's concluded are vents rather than craters because they don't have ridges. Photos taken during the Apollo 15 mission show beams stretching across the surface that expose some of the lunar substructure, Johnston noted, adding that during seismic experiments the moon would ring like a bell, possibly indicating it was hollow. One of the more striking anomalous photos was taken by a Russian lunar orbiter which showed a fractured dome on the moon's surface, he commented. Another image, taken by the Lunik 13 Russian craft, looks like a drilling device and definitely appears artificial, he continued.

Johnston also talked about some of his early UFO contact experiences, where he was told he would become an ambassador between humans and ETs. He believes there is a group of ETs called the Watchers that keep tabs on humanity. Interestingly, he learned that Apollo astronauts were warned off by beings at one of the craters, and told not to return to the moon, and subsequently NASA scrapped the rest of its planned Apollo missions.[I heard that we were told not to go back and part of the deal was that we even had to destroy the missile systems (Saturn V) we had ready for use and even the plans, the blueprints, the tooling all of it, were distroyed. The only one of the Saturn V's is at KSC. It is not airworthy, ever.]

Hoagland has deteriorated over the years or else he is a professional dis-information specialist, or both. He most certainly was not a janitor at NASA. He was the science advisor to Walter Conkite ( en.wikipedia.org... ) on CBS and was on many times during each launch and in specials at other times between.

I don't trust him anymore and I am quite suspicious of Conkite too.

You mean he claims to have been the science adviser to Walter Cronkheit. You cannot use a known liars's testimony to establish his bona fides.

There is no money in acknowledging others in the field, especially when they are putting out better anomalies than he is, and at such a high rate.

Hoagland basically has a cult who follow him on facebook, whereas zorgon and his crew can't agree on anything beyond the opinion that the moon is pretty. I've seen his facebook, those who disagree are denounced and hoagland puts out a recommendation that his followers ignore them.

For example: If Hoagland were to namedrop lunacognita's name, quite quickly, he would either start having to modify his crazy ideas and begin losing supporters/fans... Or go on an all out offensive to stem the blowback.

Basically, once people who follow hoagland take a look at the less-insane alternatives, they aren't likely to look back - so he has to paint himself as THE source for all things space related. Everyone else: they're disinfo.

*I give him one thing though, he exercises extraordinary powers of bearded persuasion.

Obviously, you are very young, because if you were as old as I and actually SAW the programs he was on, you would see how utterly idiotic your statement is.

At best Hoagland was one of Cronkite's fact checkers for the Apollo coverage. Apparently Cronkite got rather sick of him.

You remember seeing Hoagland himself on TV in 1969 with Cronkite?

I have heard from colleagues at CBS news that years after Hoagland left that job, he had refused to turn in his CBS News credentials and was still using his expired photo ID to gain entry to JPL press events, for example.

I defend only a public record, not the man himself, who must stand on his own record. As for me, he has become quite a disappointment. He uses, apparently, half-truths mixed with confusion. He talks without end, drivellingly, and only breathes for commercials...you can't question him, he's always talking and even if he were correct on anything, this all takes away from even that positive aspect of him.

This is amazing, Phage, I'd never heard about it. Was it a gag pulled by a sound-alike prankster? Or did Cronkite himself or his staff ever acknowledge in writing it was a legit out-of-the-blue call? Was it recorded? Were the voice tracks analyzed to confirm they really contained Cronkite's voice, and not an imposter?

I have no idea. While Cronkite's voice was so recognizable it's possible it could have been a hoax. I have a bit of trouble accepting that Cronkite would have called in, much less listen to, Coast to Coast.

There are also references to a radio interview with Kathy Cronkite in which she related her father's aversion to Hoagland.

I never watched CBS spaceflight coverage because they talked too much. NBC and ABC tended to just play the feed out of Houston. I deduce from your other comments that you are four to eight years older than I am.
