I can only guess you don't have many bills or a family to care for.
Unfortunately, $40 is a tremendous amount of money to many families right now.

It is 2/3 tank of gas or it is a child's hot lunch at school for 3 weeks.

And let's not forget that most families (provided neither have lost their jobs) are two income families, which means $80 a week.
That's $346.66 a month.
No, my math isn't wrong, and if you had a family you struggled to feed, you'd understand why.

$346/mth is pretty close to two weeks of groceries for a family of four, if shopped right.
Trust me, I KNOW that is a fact.

$346 is easily a car payment, and then some.

$4160 ($80x52 weeks) is several mortgage payments, which could end up being the difference between having a roof over your head or not.

So.. you get your paycheck every week?
I get mine every 2'nd week.
And when I lived in Sweden I got it every Month.

I think your numbers are twice as high as it should be.
I think Obama refered to a paycheck every 2'nd week, wich is standard here in USA.

As I look back over this thread and the posts I'm a) saddened. There are so many people out there (more every day) out of work and/or struggling because of Obama's failures. and b) thinking: "told ya so!"

Who called it!? yeah that's right cupcake. Saw this coming miles away and years ago, but you progressives just never can get off the govt teets can you?

Here's the sticky part 1) $40 ain't crap 2) it's not government money, it's the money of all the people that pay taxes. The government is not a money-making enterprise: it makes 0 (actually, in the cases of the post office, Amtrak, et al., it loses money).

What this nation has lost is generosity. Forced generosity at gunpoint (taxes) are a losing endeavor. Socialism and progressivism/marxism, the collective way of thinking, fail. Time and time again. Over and over.

Stupid humans.
