Will Israel be a staging area for invasions ?

Syria first, then Iran ?

The presence of U.S. troops in Israel would certainly be a deterrent for would be attackers.

WW3 "command post" ? Hmmm

What will Turkey's role be ?

This kind of large scale "exercise" can't just be for Gaza rockets can it ?

Something bigger is happening.

from business Insider Dec 20, 2011:

Israel just announced it has finalized a deal with Lt. General Frank Gorenc, commander of the US Third Air Force in Germany, that will bring several thousand U.S. troops and two advanced missile systems to the country for an unprecedented defense drill.

Yaakov Katz of the Jerusalem Post reports the "largest-ever" missile defense exercise will commence this spring, in response to Iran's nuclear ambitions.

This talk of invading Iran is silly, the US is not going to invade. However, come an airstrike on Iran, Israel will have to deal with thousands of rockets being fired upon it. I think this simply says the airstrike is in the advanced stages and we will leave equipment there to help them deal with the aftermath....
