I just read some of those newsletters posted earlier. These aren't isolated comments. There are entire sections that are questionable and the newsletters are written in the first person such as:

Boy, it sure burns me to have a national holiday for that pro-communist philander, Martin Luther King. I voted against this outrage time and time again as a Congressman. What an infamy that Ronald Reagan approved it! We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day.

To claim he didn't agree with this material and yet let it go out in his name without at least skimming through it once in a while isn't much of an excuse for someone wanting to be president.

Can you bring conclusive evidence to the table that he is not racist?

Sure, how about everything he's ever said in public office!

Go find the evidence yourself. It's out there.

Typical non-answer. Post some proof he isn't racist.

Quite the contrast from him currently stating that MLK was one of his heroes...even though he has publicly stated he wouldn't have voted for the Civil Rights Act.....which MLK was obviously a huge part of...

Okay, here is the rulebook for smearing a politician. It is modern American journalism 101. If your candidate falls into one of these categories, you will see a news story reinforcing these stereotypes.

White guy, republican = racist, religious nut.
White guy, democrat = communist / socialist.
White gal, republican = stupid
White gal, democrat = cut throat man hater
Black guy, republican = dumb, no experience.
Black gal, republican = just a pawn for some white guy
Black guy, democrat = communist, secretly hates whites.
Black gal, democrat = mean-spirited and angry.

Nice to see the fanatical Ron Paul defense league at work. It's truly amazing how they disregard and ignore all evidence that he is racist. He blatantly wrote all those newsletters, no amount of covering up will change that.

I think you and those who think like you just like labeling people as racists.

There is NO evidence. You have NO proof he wrote those newsletters. Dr. Paul has denied writing them, but took moral responsibility for them and repudiated any racist beliefs. I really don't know what more you want.

But, once you label someone a racist, they're a racist for life, right?

It's a good answer for someone interested in finding the truth for themselves.

However, if you're of the entitlement mindset, then I'm sure you'll be waiting for a handout.

Yes and I could say the same about anti-Paul trolls, even over 3 decades of ACTION isn't enough to prove a man's innocence.

Right, who are the illusioned ones?

LogiosHermes...can bring conclusive evidence he is a racist?

choice quotes:

I AM STUNNED AT RON PAUL AND WHAT HE SAID,TRULY UN-AMERICAN

SITTING IN CHAIR CRYING'

Text "Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the criminal justice system, I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal."

Text"We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational."

TextAfter the Los Angeles riots, one article in a newsletter claimed, "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks."

TextOne referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as "the world-class philanderer who beat up his paramours" and who "seduced underage girls and boys."

TextAnother referred to Barbara Jordan, a civil rights activist and congresswoman as "Barbara Morondon," the "archetypical half-educated victimologist."

He looked like he wanted to fit in with his racist white friends to keep his…
'IM WHITE JUST LIKE YOU REPUTATION'

Point blank! I am not saying he is racist, but...its called 'fitting in'

It is called... 'Being smart and rising to the top' and adapting to your environment.

Its called ...I will not talk good about black people because they are hanging white people to'

It is called… 98% of my friends around me are racist… ‘Why should I be the odd ball'

It’s called...'BEING A TRUE REPUBLICAN'

IT’S CALLED...'I AM STUNNED' THAT THEY FOUND THIS OUT AND NO BODY WARNED ME...

''''LET ME GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE...MY COVER IS BLOWN'''!

In addition, to think, I was going to vote for him...Oh well, just will not be voting this year.

I rather see a president stand its grounds then to run like a coward.

If you're skipping the evidence presented in the OP, nobody can help you until you are willing to see the actual arguments on the other side.

Don't blatantly ignore the presented evidence then turn around and ask for evidence.

That is just plain silly.

But then again, this is the internet.

As a guy who has had several corporate newsletters, and a couple of web sites over the years, I sympathize. But only to a point. I find it's important people who post on any site of mine are free to express themselves. Four letter words are a way (usually) people blow off steam, no harm done. And frankly I sensor myself when on this site. And I can understand if Ron Paul didn't "proof read" everything said on a newsletter or web site. And to be somewhat diabolic, I believe in free expression, and if someone who works with me is a real horses ass, or a bigot, I want to know about it. Because thats something that deeply offends me. So I give everyone as much rope as they need to hang themselves. But at the end of the day you are responsible for what is said in your name, or at least with your money. Then again, could he have just "overlooked it?" Sure. An honest mistake. We all make them.

But he should not have just blown off the CNN reporter the way he did, it was a reasonable question on her part. If I was him I would contact that reporter and expose his position, and point of view, and frame of reference on this subject. He should hardly feel "put upon" to explain himself in this situation. He's running for President of the United States, not class president.

Oh please, don't LIE. You have been crying about his foreign policy since you got here. How is it that you think people would forget such things?? Aside from all the racist rhetoric etc about Paul, lies like this from people like you is proof you're just on here to troll. You've been called out before about this, I have no idea why you haven't been banned yet.

That's quite a stretch, but who knows. Stranger things have happened. I'd like Dr. Paul to explain it in his own words. I will be listening.

Every 4 years a president is giving a 30-page letter that they must study to win publics votes. Every 4 years a president is giving an agenda of what to say, and what not to say to please the voters minds, hoping to get a vote.

No president in the history of life has ever pleased the pheasants that knock at the castles door with pitch forks in hand demanding just the basic needs. No republican…No Democrat… and no independent.

They understand that it’s the 1% they care about, but it’s the 99% that they have to trick to get into office, with its magical ,exotic mind games that they play with the 99%, out that 99% they understand that 75% of the 99% have an IQ no greater than .04

So tell me how the magic show turns out before 2012...and why are you so angry, are you ok, pm if you need a shoulder to cry on…its not that serious!

Dude, you didn't even rebut Wookie's post, you quoted him and talked about a complete other subject that had nothing to do with his post. Did you just confess to trolling?

And I agree with him, I've seen you troll RP before too, don't even bring that "and I was going to vote for him" crap in here.

OS Maybe it's the same person and/or writers that helped Obama with his Birth Certificate.

I think Ron Paul frightens most people that still want to believe BS, and those same people are looking for something to grasp that tells them RP is no good.

Consistency of the truth is a very good thing, it's to bad we have been brain washed into thinking BS, white-lies, and corruption are OK.

RP may not be perfect, but he is the closet thing we have right now to realism.

I will vote Ron Paul in 2012 and if he is not on the Ballot I will write him in. I don't give a squat if the vote isn't counted because it's the values I am voting for and what RP stands for.

Asked a hundred times and answered a hundred times...where you been?

If he's answered it a hundred times...then who exactly wrote the news letters IN HIS NAME????

Listening with ears and eyes wide open. Please explain. "I take moral responsibility for them, but did not write them?" Almost sounds like something I'd say. As I said before, if said under my name, I have to take responsibility if someone says something seriously stupid. Frankly I can see where in particular in those days w/out instant feedback someone could have exposed himself as an ass on a newsletter, and I would have likely caught it only after the fact. Thank God I didn't hire idiot's, most of the time. He needs to get out in front and explain this. As a matter of fact I had heard something about this about a year and a half ago but dismissed it, with no collaboration as so much lunch room chatter. We need for him to explain this. Something he just didn't catch? Perhaps, but we need to hear from him, or it's not going away.

So this man allowed someone to produce a newsletter that allowed his good name to be besmirched by some phony on his team. He did not read any of his Newsletters?

Well Perhaps not a racist but a damn idiot anyway!

lol, but the thing is, he said it over and over again in a clip provided in the OP of this thread. Some are claiming it doesn't matter what he said, he still 'ran away' from the interview even though he was leaving anyways, they just cut the clip from the 'newsletter questions' to when he was leaving and she tried to explain to him 'why' she kept hounding him about the newsletters.

So now that you heard his answer and have had time to look at his life/career actions...what do you think? Is he still a supposed racist? not a racist? or you dont' know yet?
