When visiting DC, take the Blue line Metro South from Rosslyn to Franconia Springfield. From the second stop Arlington Cemetery to the third stop Pentagon, take a compass out & watch the fun. Your train's doing circle's through what's gotta be some kickin' magnetic fields, perhaps what could be masive links of super computers strung underground. Don't know what they could be computing, although...does not seem to be helping out in Iraq! Also any other locals notice the unexplained long transit time underground from Rosslyn to Courthose Metros?

It's a longer distance between Rosslyn and Courthouse. Rosslyn to Foggy Bottom is a bigger jump. Most stops are closer together on the VA Orange line.

Here's the map for anyone who cares: www.wmata.com...

Will try the Blue line trick sometimes.... sounds interesting.

Perhaps the jump east to Foggy Bottom should take much longer, but it really isn't time wise. Need to verify with a stopwatch; but conjecture now that underground structures in Rosslyn / Arlington (ie DARPA) create detours & take additional transit time for Metro (as the worm crawls).
