Hey OP, cool for the opinion.
And in response to YOUR response to the second person who posted...
No, it's a rant because it's an opinion.

Like the 2435234 people before me have stated, it launched Ron Paul into his spotlight, which has been MUCH overdue, and it woke up a lot of ignorant people.

Sure, OWS is "over," at least for the Winter..

But it's effects are resonating.

Could anyone give me some examples where this is resonating with the general public?

Are people buying less from corporations this christmas? Show me something that supports that OWS did anything to change public opinion?

Actually the cartoon was a childish response to me giving you the proof you wanted, and the proof you have decided not to acknowledge, being that its not "peer" material. BTW,what peer material is out there? Academic literature, journals on OWS? Thats right. There isn't any. Your Idea of "peer" material is Anonymous, a Guy Fawkes mask to hide behind, and a Old Superman Bizzaro comic......And you call me Childish?

You just did a excellent job of undermining yourself right there. You say i did not acknowledge your links? Oh i i acknowledged them as propaganda without credibility. You see that is how this works.. ATS you are suppose to back up what you claim with credible sources not rehashed opinions and propaganda handed down like a chain letter.

You have a problem with peer review? Well you wont like our debunkers then

Like being skeptical is frowned on, only when it does not bode well with you eh? Its even more funny that a DC comic has a better grasp on reality then you. Maybe critical thinking is not your cup of joe... ehem that socialist coffee

You asked for proof.........with a DEMAND its was only peer based.
So when Occupy Wall Street comes out and starts its OWN Political Party, like they will, what will be your EXCUSE then? Conveniently putting on the horse blinds, until it suits your purpose. Its Hysterical to see you play doctor, and psychoanalyze ANYONE on ATS. Medical Credentials Please?

Call it whatever you want, I call it reality and the truth. Don't like it, don't believe it, be my guest. Go out and talk to people, ask them what OWS is about, see what kind of results you get.

been there and done that. Attended out of curiosity then talked to random people attending. Over all response was fix corruption. I knew realistically nothing would suffice as far as legislation goes but at the same time opened possibilities to other things that could correct and affect the country the way it thinks producing ramifications that would be more beneficial then some legislation.

Non OWS people i have talked too always said usually and i quote : yeah i like what they are fighting for but i wont make a difference and i have to work and pay my bills.

I did not hear : those marxist commies arghhhh blah blah blah socialist how dare them

Certainly not because these are blue collar working class people who have been affected by the very corruption OWS is speaking out against. I guess it is where you live, maybe walk across your lawn and across your neighbors tennis court and talking to them is different for you

Take a look in the mirror bro!

I am no doctor but i understand human psychology as it so happens it was a course i had to take during college. If you need medical/mental health attention then seek it asap. AS i understand it the neo cons have seen it through that the mentally ill are not cared for and ar walking our streets... thats where they get the votes

Try to click on the Reuters article that Yahoo cites and see what happens.

Reuters had to pull that article and replace it with this one:

Soros: not a funder of Wall Street protests

Source:www.reuters.com...

And here's the backstory on how that all went down from the New York Observer:

Reuters and George Soros: Before and After

Source:www.observer.com...

That's old news. They pulled the article because someone realized they flubbed by telling the truth, I bet Soros got on somebody, and so they pulled it, but then they put it back again after it looked too much like they were trying to hide the truth.
Hahaha you fell for that bogus propaganda.

Look Marxists also organized the first Immigration rally, but I'm sure most of the illegals who turned out for the occasion had no clue about it. Someone just told them come to this rally for your rights. It was held on May Day, the traditional day of Communist Military parades. Think it was an accident?

Oh boy, I am one of the elite now? Beautiful - wish my bank account reflected on that one. You folks sure love those passive aggressive attacks don't you.

Where have I once stated that I am against corruption in the government and the corporations? I am all for going all out on those bastards, but I would also go against the unions as they are equal in their involement in this mess.

I could care less about the peoples opinion that are attending OWS, their opinion is biased. I mean those blue-collar folks you claim you represent. I have either gotten disinterest or negative responses like GET A JOB. So in the spirit of your post, perhaps you should get out of your tent and go into a manufacturing plant and ask the employees what they think.

So this somehow discredits and undermines OWS? Where lies possibilities and probabilities will be things like thi that happen sure. AS EXPECTED, and will usually bottom out when people don't buy the sales spiel. I did not have people trying to convince me to smuggle illegal aliens at OWS and if they did i would not care. I showed up to support the idea of solidarity against corruption.. not illegal amigos and all the side issues. It's not relevant.

This comes from the defacto Leader,Kalle Lasn, the man behind the movement of Occupy Wall Street.

"I just had a feeling that there was a little bit too much of the loony left there," Lasn said. "I had a feeling that we needed more of the young,

new-left spunk
that I felt was happening in Zuccotti Park. I didn't see all that much of it here in Vancouver.

'Occupy' instigator laments lack of spirit in Canada

His quote is VERY telling. Its Agenda based. Its not Right/Left. Its Far left vs. New Left.

Kalle Lasn watched Obama’s address and counts it as the high water mark for the man that he says, “has bitterly disappointed me. “The political left has been in the doldrums now for decades, but we came out and supported him in 2008,” Lasn said. “But since his famous speech in Cairo, he has turned out to be a gutless wonder, a wimp.”

Occupy Wall Street founder hopes to form new political party

I see it for what it is,in his own words. No one is putting a gun to his head, and forcing him to say it.

I have said this before. Protest. Start a new Political Party. But put it into perspective. The foundation was formed with Left Leaning Ideals, not just anger at Wall Street. To claim apolitical is wrong, and dishonest. To be angry at the corruption is apolitical. Hell, look to congress, and its approval ratings,to see anger.

It was Kalle Lasn's OWN words ! It was Cincinnati OWS that are putting together a Party themselves!

I cant make that up.No rag, media site, has made it up.

I dont know how much more "proof" I could give you. Do you know who Kalle Lasn is? Without him,we wouldn't be discussing OWS.

I am done arguing this with you.Believe what you want to believe.

Wait a second, if they are biased then what are you? You show that you have a biased opinion toward individuals consisting of thousands if not millions of people being "biased" oh boy. Try reading your responses out loud before approval you might see what i am talking about.

I mean those blue-collar folks you claim you represent. I have either gotten disinterest or negative responses like GET A JOB. So in the spirit of your post, perhaps you should get out of your tent and go into a manufacturing plant and ask the employees what they think.

I don't live in a tent i live in a house. Never used a tent at OWS for the fact i did not stay over night. But your generalization that i am a tent dweller just says you have no concept or have reached out and tried to understand the occupants to begin with. For someone that says they are disgruntled with the way things are you really are not showing it.

BTW I work in a manufacturing plant and talk to my coworkers all the time

ouch .

A lot of people here agree that there's lots wrong with what's happening economically. The issues here are mostly the solutions OWS has which are quite leftist mostly. No conservative is going to respond to demands to end Capitalism, and that is where OWS gets it wrong. Evil corrupt people are all around us regardless of the system, whether it's Capitalist, communist, socialist, globalist, environmentalist, or whatever.
OWS is angling to change our govt and our Constitution from a Republican form of govt to a direct democracy, and that I will not stand for. Our Founding Fathers set things up the way they did for a reason. They knew what would happen if a bunch of over-zealous people gathered into a mob and demanded certain things. The Constitution is divinely inspired by highly educated and deeply spiritual and highly moral individuals, people who were steeped in the great philosophies of old as well as the Bible and even Masonic ritual. Some of these were so deeply spiritual as to completely dwarf any ideas the OWS people have.
I've posted already on this participatory democracy the OWS people are into. That whole "human microphone" thing and the general assemblies and all that are part of their program and it comes out of the Toffler Future Shock anticipatory democracy think tank stuff. I cannot take credit for finding the Toffler thing, someone else found it originally and I checked it out. I believe that the whole Climate Change/AGW thing comes out of that Future Shock think tank predictive stuff too, only they faked the graphs and really faked a bunch of stuff and resorted to idiotic hysterics( like the polar bears falling out of the sky in that one ad).
The thing is this is no grassroots movement started by college students, the whole thing is a prop for the Obama team and the radical leftists from the start. It doesn't mean everyone involved is, but anybody can be fooled by the skins.

What it means is that radicals can organize things without half the participants even knowing the basis for it. But clearly both the Illegal immigrant rallies and the OWS rallies are both out of the same hard core leftist ideology. The sooner you figure it out the better, but you have some kind of strange hope that OWS is really for doing the right thing. You claim you are not a leftie yet you seem to overlook the majorly leftist components of the movement. Why would you choose to support their demands to End Capitalism? Their demand for direct democracy? Only a radical who doesn't value our Constitution would do that in my view.

I would point out that the Constitution and the Republican form of govt support individual liberties not collective entitlements.

Yes i know who Kalle Lasn is

Kalle Lasn does not represent me or speak for me or even control OWS. I give him credit for getting the wheels turning but if he wants to turn this in to a political movement then he will find himself on the path of failure like what happened to the teabaggers. He just might be toasting the Koch brothers as i type this and i don't care. OWS evolved in to something else out of an idea. If it was his plan all along to make it be partisan thing then it's half ass as the democratic and republican party. Just take notes from the tea party's shortcomings.
