They're speaking out against the Americans who looted and pillaged the wealth of this nation, how many trillions of dollars did Wall Street suck out of this country?

How many 401's got sucked dry, how many houses are worth half of what they were paid for?

These people need to be in prison, and you're worried about OWS trashing them?

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Occupy Wall Street movement in protest of the perception of corporate influence in government has spurred demonstrators in Cincinnati to form their own political party.

Ohio Occupy Movement Spawns Political Party

No Agenda here,move along...............

ADBUSTERS
The next phase of Occupy Wall Street

In January, Adbusters will lead protesters to occupy the University of British Columbia economics and business departments. Lasn hopes this action will serve as a model for others around the world. “We’ve prepped the ground, and now I think in this second phase of the movement that will start next spring, we will have had our debates, and we will be ready to talk specifically about what is our positive program of political and social change.”

From what Lasn has heard, the idea of establishing a third political party is quite popular among the Occupy crowd. “Nobody knows quite how to do it, but everybody loves the idea.”

Who pays off the people who write those laws?

Talk about intellectual dishonesty.

Talk about treason, the traitors are running this country and in upside down land the people who stand against that fact are the bad guys.

I hope everyone loves corruption, because the people in this country are too divided to ever do anything about it.

Tell me about it the mind numbing stupidity is unreal, these drones strike mas as sociopaths. It's disturbing.

They are trying to form their own political Party!

Really, for someone who has ALL the knowledge of OWS at your disposal, you sure dont look for information,to back what you say.

Oddly, perhaps, I'm not against OWS forming their own political party. I think that's a great idea - at least they'd actually be DOING something.

Personally, I think we need a couple of new political parties entering the fray. It would shake up the established parties, and tend towards keeping them honest - especially if any of those new parties started taking votes away from the entrenched politicos in favor of fresh meat.

There is another forming as we speak. They've not picked the candidates they're going to run yet, because they are currently concentrating on getting their party on to the ballots of all 50 states, and making good progress at that. Candidate selection will be next summer.

If OWS can get their act together enough to form up a party and get it on the ballots, then between the two of them they ought to be able to siphon off enough votes to make the big boys pay attention, and probably install a few congress critters of their own.

THAT would be "change I can believe in."

None of your links are peer reviewed but are in fact sourced to neo con propaganda web sites.

Ironic isn't it?

Actually predictable propaganda and logical fallacy.

You live by the Bizzarocode too?

With that said i have spent far too much time on this thread. And anticipate the OWS haters in the next OWS bash thread claiming it is over then too like before and the time before that and the time before that. Dont forget to bring the same rebuttals and dishonesty. Logic and fact is always on my side

Try to click on the Reuters article that Yahoo cites and see what happens.

Reuters had to pull that article and replace it with this one:

Soros: not a funder of Wall Street protests

Source:www.reuters.com...

And here's the backstory on how that all went down from the New York Observer:

Removed that Link. I dont mind being wrong,or admitting it. That doesn't change the fact that OWS Cincinnati,is starting their own political movement.Doesnt change the fact that AdBusters, who started it,ALSO is claiming to want a NEW political party out of OWS.

Well well well....

Glad to see the members who think that playing obtuse is a strategy are still here spitting vitriol. Just to give everyone a heads up, you can't get through to these clowns. Even if you do find the words to finally peg them down they will just run off and find another thread to defecate in.

As for OWS being dead... It doesn't matter. Plain and simple. If it lives it will evolve. It if it is dead then a new movement will grow from its corpse. Those who lick boots will continue licking boots and those that burn flags will continue burning flags. That is all.

I gave up discussing this topic all-together on this site. I discuss it elsewhere. Here, it is people who see this as a planned action from the government, or as a random rant. #OWS is neither. There point about #OWS is that those involved will not discuss these matters with the people who says nobody should be in the street. Those people are not the ones we listen to. Instead, listen to the people who are protesting. Go on the street and make your connections. Not one who reads this is able to understand the amount of personal connections made in the #OWS movement. Those connections won't go away. A site on the Internet is nothing compared to these human connections. People on Internet will make their rant, but the peoples network is up now. The other network. This network will not be visible for those who didn't listen, it will not even be accessible for them. It's like the 70s. The people who were against the current state of things moved into position decades later and changed stuff.

For you who see what #OWS really is: Stay strong. And, do not use time on those who do nothing to change anything. Some people will waste your time in endless debate.

The backwards man this is Bizaroworld talk

Who is "The backwards man"?

Oh so we are suppose to put up and shut up and take in in the rear or else the federal government cancels christmas? OWS is anti constitutional WHAT?

again. Sitting on your ass in a park chanting and eating pepper spray isn't doing much to halt the federal cancellation of your Christmas. Sounds an awful lot to me like "taking it up the rear".

But with the added bonus of pepper spray.

OWS is, in fact, demanding that the feds EXPAND their Christmas offerings. They seem supremely oblivious to the fact that what the feds give you, they can also take away, and will control you like a good little automaton with the carrot and the stick that YOU GAVE TO THEM.

Yes, the expansion of government that OWS is calling for is unconstitutional. It negates the Constitution in favor of a huge, overblown, bureaucratic nightmare of East German proportion.

What a warped view you have there, sounds like more defeatist talk.

I'll let you know when I'm defeated. It sure as hell isn't going to come back at me through what I begged them to do to begin with. They'll have to find some other control measure - I'm not handing them one on a platter.

You are being ruled and fear being the conduit "do as they say or else"

Negative, young Sir. I've been doing "other than what they say" for a very long time now, and doing it very well. I have no fear of the government - they have so far proven themselves to be incompetent, un-fear-worthy. that. of course, is subject to change if they can be overgrown to the proportions that OWS would prefer.

You have been ruled then.

Not so far, but there's always the first time to look forward to, isn't there?

I rather die then live in this George Orwell 1984 you speak of.

OWS is pushing to bring about an Orwellian world, so we can all see where your loyalties REALLY lie, in spite of this rather expansive claim. Why would you push to bring it about, then decline from living it?

I may get my chance soon. Push comes to shove then that night we shall dine in hell.

I'll see ya there. Do you want to bring the beer, or the pretzels?

Hey Brother! How goes it?

I don't believe OWS is "dead", but I do believe it will have to morph or die.

As a public service, you might consider posting a link to your thread from last year on the new form of government roughed out. It's looking more and more every day like the only solution to this loggerhead presented.

You may go down in history as a visionary.

If it's in ways we'll never know, then it wasn't really a success was it? It also depends on what its goals were. Success for OWS would be a failure for America.

Hehe, glad to see you are still fighting the good fight, buddy!

I actually was at a college a few weeks back and got that theory some play. It didn't go over like a lead balloon, but people aren't ready to recreate their nation just yet, IMO. I did get some traction, and that is good news, but not enough people cared enough. Reformation is still the name of the game right now so we will have to wait until change that deviates form the status quo is something that people are willing to begin discussing.

But I will edit this momentarily with the link for those who want to read it.

Part of the problem is the "all or none" partisan bickering, which is what that theory addresses - it presents a potential for everyone to get their own preference, without infringing on the rest. I don't mind a socialist state next door, as long as I can be assured that they'll keep their politics within their own borders, and likewise I'll refrain from expanding mine onto their turf. Heck, I'd probably even visit to sample the local cuisine.

The "all or none" attitude has to go, however, or we're going to wind up eating each others cuisine without permission. If that happens, Unknown Soldier and I will without a doubt be eying each other across the dinner table in hell, over beer (probably stale - it's HELL, after all) and pretzels (probably burned), and ain't no one going to be the better for it.

I think there's a good chance that the status quo change is coming, ready or not. What we DO with that is what will make all the difference between life and death. we can either kill each other off until meade in the halls of Valhalla is all that's left to us, or we can explore potential solutions such as that one, and hope for survival.

I salute you!
