If "militias" are so well organized and truly want to protect their beliefs, the Bill of Rights and the Constitution - an American Spring would have risen after the passage of NDAA!!! I am confident that the Arab Spring came up when OWS sprung out globablly and the gov't became nervous about what is to come . It is apparent that their closed door agendas will "spring" possibly in 2 months since that is how long the gov't has extended the budget. The gov't has realized that Americans are fed up and needed to ensure that what ever actions they are planning they could carry out. (Maybe y the FEMA camps were created and why they have sent notices out to "internment/settlement" camps to be prepare to go full scale in 72 hrs. Because of American revolt or a bomb being dropped on the states?

The only way out of a great depression/globalfinancial collapse (from what we know other than QE) Is to go to war.

EDIT: I failed to mention that the US has black ops all over the world....are we to believe that we haven't been in a proxy war starting in GWBush's last administration? Also I believe with the increased naval recruitment for 12-18 month long term tours at sea; NATO troop build up in Jordan @ Syrian border as Bashar (and his Ba'athist member admin) continue their tyranny , it seems that the fight may begin in Syria - Iran is their closest and oldest ally.

U.S. Chief-of-Staff tells CNN U.S. preparing for attack on Iran

- Shouldn't we ALWAYS be prepared to attack a place that has called for our destruction? I would hope so.

- I agree with the OP - this is what could be used to get Obama re-elected. Americans don't change presidents during war time. If TPTB want Obama-puppet in .. we'll be in Iran, and not just in a covert way.

- I really don't think Obama wants another term. This guy is seriously dis-engaged from the job. Of course, that could be what his handlers want .. someone who just shows up to read pretty speeches from teleprompters and stays out of the way.

US military 'ready to engage in a conflict with Iran'

America's most senior military official has indicated that the country is ready to engage in a conflict with Iran, if President Barack Obama were to give the signal.

General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the US joint chiefs of staff, said that the US military had reached a point where they were ready to execute force against Iran if necessary.

In an interview with US media in Afghanistan he said: "We are examining a range of options. I'm satisfied that the options that we are developing are evolving to a point that they would be executable if necessary."

Gen Dempsey said the US is collaborating with Israel in its intelligence gathering but reiterated that there are no guarantees the Israelis would inform the US before launching an attack.

Yeah wait for Obama's signal uh? Eh you scum, CONGRESS declares war, NOT OBAMA. Obama ain't freaking GOD.

If you stop and think, the US even has "attack plan's" for invading Canada, that tidbit came out during the Dubya Administration. So, yeah, the US has "battle plans" for almost every nation outside our borders.

Well, HE thinks he is. Remember Libya? Obama circumvented Congress for that one.

Yeah but are they saying every week now that ``the US is ready for war with Canada``?

Come on people... stop posting this fake argument....

Yeah and he should be impeached for it.

The sheeple will buy into this hook, line, and sinker. Here is a poll that I find disturbing:

Do you support an American military strike on Iran if they develop nuclear weapons?

Yes 70%

No 20%

It depends on how strong the evidence is 10%

Oh the hypocrisy, The military in the US think they are so righteous....

List of wars involving the US

US military deployments throughout the world

What a load of rubbish; you won't see anything before the last 1/4 of 2012 re Iran.

Of all mistakes of USA, an attack on Iran will be the biggest one and might seal the fate of America. Unfortunately the fecal matter is gonna hit all over the world.

Iran threatening?
un discredited link please

so where did Iran call for the destruction of the US? or any country...?
should people who lie about iran threatening other contries to justify threatening Iran not be threatened thier own loopy rules....
ooops I mean loopy hypocracy?

say on an other note are Mitt Romney and his family, like the Israelis(according to Veterans today) still heavily invested in Iranian oil reserves, and benefiting from the resulting increases in the price of oil??

As it turns out, scrutiny begins at home. As the AP and others detailed, Romney's former employer and the company he founded had links to very recent Iranian business deals:
Romney joined Boston-based Bain & Co., a management consulting firm, in 1978 and worked there until 1984. He was CEO of Bain Capital, a venture capital firm, from 1984 to 1999, despite a two-year return as Bain & Co.'s chief executive officer from 1991 to 1992.

Bain & Co. Italy, described in company literature as "the Italian branch of Bain & Co.," received a $2.3 million contract from the National Iranian Oil Co., in September 2004. Its task was to develop a master plan so NIOC -- the state oil company of Iran -- could become one of the world's top oil companies, according to Iranian and U.S. news accounts of the deal.

Bain Capital, the venture capital firm that Romney started and made him a multimillionaire, teamed up with the Haier Group, a Chinese appliance maker that has a factory in Iran, in an unsuccessful 2005 buyout effort.

Caught flat-footed by his hypocrisy that took the AP less than a day to uncover, Romney feebly responded:

"This is something for now-forward. I wouldn't begin to say that people who, in the past, have been doing business with Iran, are subject to the same scrutiny as that which is going on from a prospective basis."

of course the sanctions romney called for will drive up the price of any investments he or his family or Israel has in Iran

the Us has killed a lot of people and one of the denocraxcies that the US slavishly overthrew was Irans democratic government

so aren't people who lie about Iran being a threat not really heinious in the face of the facts?

Announcing the Iraq war was ended, Barack Obama told US troops on 14 December 2011, "The United States military is the finest fighting force in the history of the world." What he didn't say is that since 1945 the US military has been directly responsible for the deaths of over 10 million people and that America has in that time overthrown 50 governments, including democracies, and intervened in at least 30 more. John Pilger has something to say about that.

Know what's going out in theaters on September 14? A movie about the Iranian hostage crisis... will be out probably when the warmongering reaches it's peak...

As the Iranian revolution reaches a boiling point, a CIA 'exfiltration' specialist concocts a risky plan to free six Americans who have found shelter at the home of the Canadian ambassador.

Goebells would be proud.

EDIT : Apparently they are ``planning`` for an attack on Iran, they have not ``decided to go all in`` yet.

Well here it comes. War before the election, bet on it.

No president has EVER LOST if the election happened during a war. Obama is going all in.

This is gonna be nasty. Hang on to your hats. Oil is gonna explode, Russia and China are gonna be pissed, the middle-east is about to turn into fire... a military draft is very possible...

Will we see false-flags to shut up whoever opposes the war (everybody)?? Probably.

The economy will crater that's for sure, but of course it will be blamed on big bad Iran...

The military needs to ARREST CONGRESS NOW before all hell breaks loose! The election is too far. The government won't listen to the protests... time for the army to step it up.

Just note that December 24, there's no moon... perfect time for an air strike on Iran... and people will be distracted. IMO it's too close, but you never know with these bastards.
(visit the link for the full news article)

I will be surprised if they (either the US or Israel [they're joined at the hip anyway]) do NOT attack Iran.
I'm also expecting WWIII.

And I think you may be right about Obama's re-election (Republicrat A). I pretty certain TPTB have already decided on Romney as the Republican candidate (Republicrat B). So lame.

The game, I suspect, is that Obama will be re-elected, then assassinated within the first two years of his second term. That should create all kinds of domestic chaos (race riots) and help distract the general populace from a further deteriorating economy. It also creates an excuse for TPTB to use more controls on us.

sure they can beat them logistically with tactical means and superior weaponry, but there would be no justifying the doubt in the hearts and minds of innocent Americans after.

You think there's going to be a future where you can tell the children the Truth and they will believe you?

A future where history is re-written to serve the needs of the Global Corporation; a future where speaking the Truth will be too dangerous to risk; a future where children have been thoroughly indoctrinated to distrust the older generation and their treasonous lies about the Fatherland -- oh, excuse me, I mean the benign Communitarianism of the New World Order.

Sadly that CBS poll is correct. We are a very violent people here in the US. We have been at war in the ME for 20 straight years now; It's all we know.

During the 9/11 anniversary this year, I asked co-workers friends and others if they were bothered by the fact that over 200,000 Afghan & Iraqi citizens have died as a result of the US invasions. They all said no, and that it served them right. We were all bloodthirsty after 9/11, some of us still are.

200K civilian deaths is roughly fifty fold the amount of destruction caused by 9/11. An overwhelming amount of Americans feel this is justified.

IF and when they do decide to throw down, I think it won't be nearly as easy as Iraq and Afghanistan.
Iran will give them a run for their money I think. As you said, facing invasion, they will pull many people into the ranks to defend themselves.

Iran's military sucks, that is just fact. I love how people like to root for the underdog but Its going to be a blood bath on Iran. I don't want to see this happen any more than the next guy. Having spent quite a few years in the Army my self, I know its capable of.

I think it is evident during the Iraq vs Iran war. Though it happened in the 80's the casualty numbers are higher on the Iranian side. However the warfare technology has changed a lot since then. I'm sure there were lessons learned on the Iranian side from all the wars they were involved in addition to the ones that US was involved with. I wouldn't be surprised if they even used some of their forces to engage in Iraq war against the US to study the US strategy for ground warfare in Iraq first hand instead of hearsay. One thing is for sure that we do start a war but the politicians in DC keep influencing (Policies & Budget) the outcome after it has started. This factor I feel has a big impact on the outcome of a War and the Casualties despite the highly trained soldiers.
