If you could ask a exterrestrial ONE question what would that be?

First I would offer E.T a shot of Patron (hope he says yes).
I would continue the interrogation as such...

1.Why the hell did did it take you so long to get here?
2.Are we related? How?
3.Can you take me with you?

"What limits collective consciousness from linking?"

So many questions, most of them worth a laugh

"Do you guys know Greedo?"

If they were a lot more advanced, then I would ask them if they knew what the meaning and purpose of life was, because if they do, then I want to know.

My second question would be: Do you want to adopt a human being, as I've just put myself up for intergalactic adoption and I've already got my bags packed, so take me home to your planet and get me the hell off this one.

My question would be:

"Has your species learned more about the purpose of the existence of consciousness in the universe, whether it is real or illusory, and what lies beyond the cessation of the mortal body than we have? And if so, what have you concluded or been able to scientifically hypothesize?"

After we were thoroughly introduced, I would, without a doubt, ask a question about our origin. Something along these lines..

"Mr. "Tsu'tey", if you would be so kind as to answer my single question with a detailed and assiduous explanation, I would be quite pleased."

"Mr. Tsu'tey" would reply "Yes, young being, as you wish"

" "Mr. Tsu'tey", what and/or where is the very point of "human" origin?"

I imagine my end result explanation would have something to do with humans being manufactured either completely from scratch (creating life...www.wired.com...); or based on another life-form i.e. a foreign DNA (grey DNA etc.) being mixed with a semi intelligent life-form (primates)

I would be satisfied with any answer really. There are numerous ways (us ending up on Earth) could have happened, with pure evolution being at the bottom of the "possible explanations" list. Once we know our true origin, we know the true meaning and purpose of our kind.
