No matter how bad it gets here, there won't be cannibalism as it was reported in North Korea during their famine. Let's not compare the two when it comes to starvation...

Actually let us compare the two with regards to starvation......
Now I admit starvation is a harsh word so lets dumb that down to hunger.
Want some stats of poor folks living here in North America who would probably perish if not for food banks, churches, and the salvation army?
Dumpster diving is now a trend, no teeth no problem, millions of abandoned homes, yep it must be those dammed Koreans again.
You folks have got to get over the red threat and check out your own basement.

I am and I see nothing funny about it.....

Either that or the ones weeping are the elites that got treated humanely by the "great leader" and they don't know what the future holds with the "great successor".

I think it's agreed that all the footage we have seen is from Pyongyang, the capital, where all the military and party leaders and their families live. The city is exclusively for the upper sections of society, loyal, with ties to past leaders or the party. It's their "show city" where all tourists and visitors are required to remain when in the country. Apparently, the elderly and sick are moved out of Pyongyang when they become "unsightly".

Still, there have been a lot of reports on the psychology of the people there from researchers, investigative reporters and defectors, and they all agree that it is a mixture of sorrow (because many have been indoctrinated into the cult since birth) and genuine fear for the future, and for their own lives if they are not seen to be adequately upset.

This is a country where there are informers everywhere, and those who are noticed as being "out of the ordinary" or not following doctrine, will soon find themselves in a camp.

There was a person on the BBC who defected and worked at one of the camps, and he has stated, on the record, that when the outside world does get in there they will find atrocities on the scale of the Final Solution in and around those camps.

It truly is terrifying to think of what has been happening in that country for the last fifty years, without any adequate social structure, a massive famine in the 90's, and ongoing mass imprisonment.

There are, unfortunately, some on here who will defend any dictatorial regime simply because they defy America. These people are too arrogant to understand that just because a dictator defies the west does not automatically make them something to worship.

There is plenty to complain about when it comes to many nations and governments, but to suggest that somehow excuses the actions of a dictator like KJI is a little bit warped to say the least.

The psychology of the Koreas should not be analyzed through the lens of expected Western behavior.

Both sides believe in the inevitability of a catastrophic war of reunification in terms of an all or nothing battle. The South views it with religious overtones, with implications of Armageddon. The North has been told that they are racially pure and innocent, and that they would be robbed of their very identity by the corrupt outside world if their superhuman leadership was not in place to protect them.

Many if not most North Koreans will be legitimately traumatized and terrified by the death of their Dear Leader. The Young General is a relative newcomer in their mythology and the people cannot help but rely on him now. Expect acts of aggression or state sponsored terrorism as Jong Un and his handlers seek to cement their place in the canon of military virility.

A coup is also possible....but whoever takes the reigns will need to pick fights to prove themselves.

Don't expect to be able to compare their reactions to those you may see in the West. Korea as a whole is a complete cipher to those who have not studied them closely.

And mark my words; we are inches away from learning the lessons of nuclear proliferation the hard way.

Holy crap i nearly went deaf after watching that video.

But seriously, 3 quarters of the people seem to be faking, while i see others that look as if they reall are crying. So i will say. it might be a mix of brainwashing and being forced to do it

again I point out this fact that the above claimed is hearsay and nothing more than that.
People are posting garbage here left and right and not backing it up what so ever.
Last I heard people are "Apparently eating their parents to stay alive in Detroit"

Perhaps they fear the son?

I know they are brainwashed. I watched a video on a doctor going into N.K. once and did free surgeries for (I think) some eye condition. Afterwards, they all praised and thanked their God Kim Jong (maybe Kim Jong Il) and didn't even thank the doctor.

I've watched that to, you can find it on netflix. I really believe that they feel really sad,all those years of propaganda and conditioning what else do they know?

Imagine being isolated from the whole world and your constantly taught that kim jong il is the only reason your alive and not being killed by the evil west. You may think in your head this guy can't be all that great but you better not voice your opinions or show that type of emotion.
sounds familiar to anyone?

Reminds me of the plot for an xbox 360 game called Homefront where Kim Jong dies and his son takes the reigns of power and unleashes an EMP attack on the United States. They then proceed to invade and occupy. A sign or maybe a teaser trailer by the powers that be for things to come?

There may be many who truly grieve for him but it seems there are also many who are faking it.

Anyone else notice how some are looking around to see who is watching them?

Hopefully the regime hasn't corrupted every last one of their brain cells and they are secretly crying in joy.
That man was a monster. His people are starving and deprived, yet he was at one time the leading importer of Hennessy. His death is great news to me, but there is still a problem.
The great leader may no longer be here, but the great successor will ensure his cruelty remains.

North Korea is a concentration camp the size of country. Look at a nighttime satellite photo of NK.
Did you notice the only places with electricity are the capital and a few villages that Kim "blessed"
them with. any kind of luxury is a privilege that has to be granted by the "leader".
But if your not a government official or a family member of, tough luck.

If any of them were truly grieving, I feel sorry for them.
Just imagine being so brainwashed that if your ordered to shoot a little girl, you do it without hesitation,
Terrible....

I still cry everyday missing her

Suffering is suffering is suffering.

Suggestion to all...
TRY THIS:
Replay the video- with your eyes closed/audio only.

Ever considered that those videos might be propaganda? They certainly seem to go hand-in-hand with alot of the other propaganda from the west, trying to paint North Korea in a bad light as to influence peoples opinions, maybe in order to alleviate an invasion of the country.

You have to ask yourself, why would this be true? Well, North Korea wants nothing of the western banking system and it´s unfluences such as fiat currency, opting instead of a centrally planned economy (currently one of the the worlds only ones, according to wikipedia en.wikipedia.org... )

Thus they remain a constant thorn in the eye of the Rothschilds, Rockefellers etc, as they have little influence in such countries.

After doing some digging on the matter, it certainly seems more plausible that this is the case, rather than all those people being made to "fake" crying in the streets.

Just a thought.

I just watched The Truman Show.

I think North Korea is a little bit like that ... sort of a false world where people are presented a reality that they never question.
