I'm sorry, where do you see the Hollywood-style drama?

I see a newscaster in front of a bad backdrop reading news from a piece of paper. What is over the top about that?

Sure, it's a bit hokey, but most people in front of a camera "perform" to some degree.

Where's the conspiracy?

Did I mention conspiracy?

Nope, didn't think so.

Thanks anyway.

I guess I misunderstood.

Could you explain what you meant by your original post? What was BS or Hollywood?

What is so "BS" about it? Maybe she was crying because she is happy his regime is over.

Maybe she is crying because she is afraid of what comes next for their country.

Maybe she actually liked the guy and is really sad.

And yeah, maybe she was made to cry and look sad to perpetrate that mostly false image that he was the beloved dear leader....

But the reality is, we don't know.

They just lost a leader that the people of North Korea believed and loved. We are nobody to judge as to who acts like what.

I lived about 30 minutes from the DMZ for approx. 8 years and had the chance to talk to people who had escaped from the North. The stories of propaganda filled news are very common.

The reporters for the National news are not actually paid as such but are actually chosen from well off families with their ability to act and to report as told. Their actual pay is in more food allotments and better apartment situations. The news anchor positions are very important in NK as their ability to sway public opinion and do as they are told is most important.

There are not many people in NK that actually like the current regime but they portray their loyalty for fear of punishment and/or death/imprisonment in the many concentration camps.

That is why I say it is nothing but an acting job.

Peace
