Why are they stupid enough to go. Has all the people of the US forgotten how to say no. Resurrection Hell no we won't go needs to be implemented again. Only way out of this insanity is to stop going alone with it.

Maybe because it takes time for Patriotic Military Men and Women to start to realize, the people who govern them...are straw men with tin badges. That's a bitter pill to swallow.

Well POTUS is a Marxist. You must be very proud of his snuggling up to every leftist Marxist and Socialist radical on the planet. He's really giving the dictatorship of the Proletariat a good kick off eh...

A soldier cannot say no, it wont happen, its silly to think that they have that luxury, our soldiers are heroes, strong brave men, but they can't say no, or they go to jail.

It has been said before and it can be said again. Who is crazier the person insane or the the person who knowing allows an insane person to tell them what to do?

Are we going to Free Syria to join the Islamist Uprising? Oh Goody.

I can't get a read on what is happening in Syria, but the only thing I am sure about is just about everyone is lying and the people who aren't are going to yet again turn out to be useful idiots.

I personally think we need to stay out of other peoples business and countries....and take care of our own....on our own soil. I think Syria should work out their own problems amongst themselves.

I grow weary of hearing on the news or reading in the news...that many, many of our beautiful young men and women getting killed in countries where they don't need to be.

Why does our country need to be involved?

well damn why not go ahead and call Assad and tell him the troops are coming. If this is true why would you give this information out?

Because borders are an illusion, trade happens (and is an essential human trait), and this part of the World has more trade routes than can be imagined.

Pretending that your country doesn't have interests won't work for a long term strategy. Because the people who don't ignore it will eventually turn their eyes to you. Isolationism is a dream for the tyrannical and the short sighted.

Because Assad doesn't and never did matter. He doesn't matter to the Syrian military, he doesn't matter to his fellow leaders, and he doesn't matter to the people, and has almost negligible impact on anything that is happening except as a convenient clown head to put on a spike afterwards.

I like the way you think Redrose. opps.

This is going to get real ugly.

This morning I was up early watching the news on FOX (just for the hell of it). When they began with their "Newt is leading, with Mitt Romney trailing right behind him", I had to change the channel before I threw something at the TV. I switched to Al Jezeera. It peaked my curiosity since I pretty much never watch it. They were talking about Syrian soldiers surrendering and showed a video of about 50 or so soldiers lined up in four or five rows supposedly defecting from Syria. They were chanting something in Syrian. I thought to myself.... "Well, this is how it starts. The news channels will start covering the defecting Syrian soldiers, they'll show the crimes against humanity committed by Syria, and next thing we know we're bombing Syria because we have to help the helpless".

While there's still no source for the deployment, I don't doubt it. I'm thinking that within a month or two we'll probably be at least ankle-deep in Syria, "kicking terrorist a$$".

Neither of the sources you posted seem to have any credibility at all.

I think this and the OPs story are completely fabricated.

I don't like liars.

Deployment to Jordan maybe? Certainly not Syria proper.

Or they gonna announce it this week-end that NATO is going alone at it.

I'm afraid none of us do! However in the absence of Main Stream Honesty - who would be a credible witness/reporter in your view? I don't think the Corbett Report and RT News come into the category you prefer to place them and RT is a Main News Channel after all.

Or is it the Messenger you refer to?

'Liar' is a very strong word to use - perhaps you should wait and see because I don't think you are going to get your credible news.

That would better fit news reports. On the other hand, they could be told they are going to Syria and end up in Iran.

Insider information straight from Fort Hood, 400 soldiers deploying immediately to Syria, this could be the reason for this hasty action being taken. news.yahoo.com...

There is talk about civil war possibilities being higher then ever in this region, so what does Obama do? Puts American soldiers in harms way again in a place we have no business being and just days before Christmas to boot.

America needs to get back to the founders idea's of isolationism and stop trying to take over the dam world.

The U.N needs to be told to take a hike and get out of America and this Dictator of a President needs to go, not just out of office but go to jail for the many wrongs he has committed in this once Great Union.

More non-intervention than isolationism. We still need to interact with the world with diplomacy and trade.

And yeah this deployment blows! WTH is this President thinking! We just get out of Iraq and now he has a hard on for Syria all the sudden.
