Interesting.

Appears more and more people are realizing how the Chinese are ripping the U.S off, stealing US jobs and over-running North America.

THIS, however, will not resolve anything.

We'll find out over the next few months if this is an isolated incident or will become a growing trend.

stealing US jobs and over-running North America.

How did ``the Chinese`` steal U.S jobs?

Did they sneak in and ``steal`` them?

If anything it's the U.S that's riping off the Chinese.

Silly Americans blaming the Chinese for their problems.

It's the America government that has allowed the Chinese to completely own the United States.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not fond of China's behaviour on a multitude of issues, but some people have a bad habit of blaming the wrong person. The United States does do a good job of painting China as the bad guy so I don't blame the Average American wanting to place the blame on them.

China is not ripping off America; congress is. When you over-regulate, over-tax, have an arcane tax code that requires far too much time and cost on a company, you force companies to move overseas. If you want to see jobs return to the US, simply make a reasonable flat one time tax for corporations, eliminate foolish reporting like Sarbanes Oxley and you will see many companies return here.

Basically, Elect Ron Paul, elect a better congress and companies will return in droves. The wealth of the world will invest in the USA again and prosperity will return.

I see. So, we should remove all laws concerning the workplace, reduce the income tax on businesses, and basically induce a business friendly enviroment...say, like China.

Yes, that model worked out REALLY well for the Chinese making Nikes for .14 cents an hour, lets bring it to America! The Chinese common man is now very prosperous, due to the high wages and prosperity American corporations brought, right??

.......youre insane.

Probably a reference to the fact that most of the things we used to buy are made in china, not in america. Cheap manpower and production cost forced many industries to move not only to China, but also to countries like Mexico.

Not agree with the term "steal' neither.

China makes cheap stuff.

The USA is NOT "obliged" to import those cheap stuff. The Chinese export it to the USA because the government of the USA allow the imports.

If the government of the USA want, it can simply stop any kind of imports from China. It can just make a new law, making illegal any import from China, just like it already does with Cuba.

Any country has the right to not accept imports from another country.

But, if the USA does it, don't expect the Chinese to keep their US debt bonds. They will dump the bonds massively, making the interest rates skyrocket.

They are not stealing jobs. American capitalists are giving your jobs away.

Don't blame the Chinese for doing what we all have to do, work for someone else in order to live.

We all compete for 'jobs', that is not the workers fault, it's the fault of the capitalists system that keeps resources artificially scarce in order to maintain a high profit level.

Once Chinese workers pay scale and safety standards increase to where capitalists profit level become too low, someone will be 'stealing' jobs from the Chinese, and that could be YOU. Think about it.

Really? Please explain this statement. The only thing we "stole" from China is the recipe for gunpowder. Everything else China has, they got from elsewhere. Even their vaunted "new" aircraft carrier is a refitted, old Russin piece of junk. Yes, watch out for the mighty Chinese with their awesome engineers and paradigm altering technologies.

You do know that as a requirement for allowing US companies to utilize the Chinese slave-labor force, that the Chinese compels those companies to give them their intellectual property rights?

You do know that China manipulates their currency in order to obtain an unfair trade advantage?

You do know that China places unfair tariffs on US products?

In the end, China is far, far more dependent on the US than the US is on China. Try to fool yourselves into believing otherwise. The US makes stuff that matters, China makes plastic junk, clothes, etc. The US still manufactures more than China, we are the world's biggest economy, China just helps to feed the beast, and is getting rich in the process.

US workers are so much more efficient and productive than Chinese workers that when you compare all factors, it really doesn't cost that much less to produce stuff in China. I read a story recently which said that when all factors were taken into consideration if Apple moved ALL production to the US, it would only have a 5% real reduction in bottom-line profits...but they would also be employing Americans which is hard to put a price tag on.

The Chinese government/corporations and the US government/corporations are all complicit in this obscenity.

But those companies are not Chinese, they are American, British etc. The profits made go to western capitalists, not the Chinese.

China is just providing the cheap labour. Chinese workers get paid very low to produce goods for American, and other international companies, to be sold to you at inflated prices. Chinese workers, for example, are paid around 6c, to produce a shirt sold to you for $60. If they had to pay American workers to produce those shirts, their profit level would plummet. The Chinese, and you, are being ripped-off, exploited.

Capitalism does not care about you, it has nothing to do with freedom. It is nothing but those lucky enough to own capital, exploiting those who don't.

China has done nothing more than meet demand.

Your corporations and government are hand in hand and are the ones supporting that.

When you stop buying goods with "Made In China" from your local corporate store, stop backing and doing business with the biggest corporations on the planet, and get corporate interests out of your government, then you can blame China for your woes.

No one forced Americans to buy ever increasing mountains of the cheapest rubbish from China, you did all that yourselves. Now that you've discovered that all those $'s have gone to china and made them stronger than you are, you only have yourself to blame for not being economically savvy.

Important Event OP Thanks for bring to our attention,
I Totally disagree though with the isolationist, attitude that it was an American doing this for the wrongs by China, as perceived.

Also the rest of the comments on the thread again very Ego/Nation Centric did anyone actually check the source?

Police initially said they were looking for an Asian man about 65 years old with white hair.

Baek said an Asian man had turned himself in to authorities more than three hours after the incident and was in custody.
Op Source.

There is an multitude, of nation states, countries, politics, groups etc etc within China itself never mind the rest of the World that would be the reason for this, an spot of basic historical understanding and geo politics of an very limited breadth makes this jump out I am sure too many?

One of their disputed borders is with India, and its an area next door to the "warizistans" and such like, just as one example of some reality of what would be the true nature of this attack.

Genocide in Tibet?

The India Issue (The most dangerous Border and disputes with the wider area and nations in world for all of us)

More The Pakistan and Kashmir Issue

At Home China Yesterday Revolt/Anarchy/Revolution in one area Town China has NO Control

The South Korea et al Spratley etc Issues Seoul a Few Days Ago Chinese Embassy Attacked

Yeh Right its an American about his Fed Reserve and friends who screwed him shooting at the Chinese.

Kind Regards,

Elf

China minimum wage up by 21.7% despite economic cooling

Maybe it is time to raise the minimum wage again.
Why do you think Walmart has Hillary Clinton spending our tax dollars through USAID to build a new supply chain in South America exclusively for Walmart? China is wanting more money than the corporations want to pay.

The dilemma of capitalism is making itself so obvious with this.

Capitalists use the cheapest labour they can. Right now that is China, India etc. When they become too expensive the capitalists will find cheaper labour somewhere else. That leaves us to fall into poverty, check it out America, look around you!! It is happening in front of your eyes. As 'jobs' become more scarce we will be coerced into excepting less and less in pay, in order to maintain competitive in the 'job market'. Right now wages are decreasing because prices are rising, and they screw with the inflation figures in order to hide that fact.

The huge disparity in wealth in the US is because of capitalists exploiting cheap labour overseas, from which they make huge profit, while jobs disappear and prices rise for the working masses here. It can't last forever because they are running out of consumers. They take what they can and run, leaving the economy a complete mess.

Then comes social unrest, and war...

Insanity is thinking that the economic incentives and principles that were in place and made the USA the best and most prosperous country in the world would not do the same again.

Insanity is how someone can read what I wrote and jump to the conclusion that I mentioned something about removing all labor laws; I mentioned none of this.

Insanity is you sitting in front of your puter making comments about issues that expose you for your lack of knowledge in business, history and world affairs. Have you ever been to China? Have you ever been anywhere outside your country. Have you ever owned a business? Have you ever had to put up with nonsensical reporting to the government?

Insanity is you there little one so, off you go and have another Xanax. Leave world business affairs to the adults.
