Hey man, I like you , and your cause, but what the eff are you talking about?

You mean well but you expect us to take your content as the word of god. Don't be lazy and tell us what we're about to click on. I'm tired of you holding your nose up high friend. It's time for you to settle with the rest of the peasants.

I don't understand. I was simply posting information I found in regards to the OP. Not exactly sure what my "cause" is suppose to be. The extract should have told you what you were about to click on. It is not my "word" either, but that of the article.

Please forgive me I have not read the whole thread.
I am just wanting to post this as a matter of urgency. This I found today
"December 16, 2011 – MOSCOW - Russian authorities seized today a consignment of the radioactive isotope Sodium-22 at a Moscow airport from a passenger who was to travel on a flight to Tehran, the customs service said. “Tests showed that the Sodium-22 could only have been obtained as the result of the work of a nuclear reactor,” it said in a statement. “A criminal inquiry has been opened and the materials transferred to prosecutors.” Customs was alerted by a warning system at Sheremetyevo Airport ahead of the Moscow to Tehran flight that background radiation in the departures hall was 20 times the norm. A passenger’s bag was then searched. “Eighteen metallic objects of industrial origin were found, packed into individual steel boxes,” it said. “Tests then found that the objects were in fact the radioactive isotope Sodium-22 that had been machine-produced.” No further details were immediately available on the consignment or the identity of the passenger who was carrying the materials. Russia has relatively close ties with Iran and built its first nuclear power station in the southern city of Bushehr. Moscow also delivered the nuclear fuel for the reactor. Moscow has echoed Western concerns about the nature of the Iranian nuclear program but stopped short of publicly accusing Tehran of seeking atomic weapons and always said that the standoff should be solved by diplomacy. Experts have long called for tight controls against nuclear smuggling so that Iran cannot get ahold of materials it is barred from obtaining under UN Security Council sanctions. –The Australian

Now, recently the BBC ran its latest series of Spooks. Unusually this series did not deal with individual stories, it adopted a serial role....and it was to do exactly with this scenario!

I have watched most of the Spooks series over the years and have found it fascinating that although a series is in 'wraps' at least 6 months before it is broadcast....lo and behold life becomes deja vu!
I was particularly interested in this last series as they said it would be the last one...we shall see. This series dealt with the Russians, the smuggling of radioactive material for bomb making and had reminders of the Litvinenko 'murder' in that one of the main characters was murdered in the same way as Litvinenko was.

You'll notice every late summer/fall there are also tons of stories about how the economy is immenently ready to collapse. Especially every 4 years.

Nice way to hide your ignorance. To assume 99% of ppl on this board don't read threads. Arrogant much?

Ignorance... haha, very funny, your ignorance proves that more often than not, I have had to correct people because they spout the Wiki about military knowledge.... sure I was wrong once, shall we see how many times you were wrong... WHO CARES..... you wasted a post to point out something that was between me and one other person, and I admitted fault...

Yes I will say it over and over again, NO ONE ON HERE READS THREADS.... they read the first post and then comment... that is why a picture of the X-47B on the back of a semi went 15 pages with the answer in post #3.... people are still guessing... POINT PROVEN...

Ignorance...that is not ignorance.... that is fact.

Hi, I wanted to say sorry for this post. I'm not justifying my actions but I got into the drinks a little early yesterday and I honestly don't recall posting that comment. I accept full responsibility and sincerely apologize.

Alcohol and ATS don't mix.

Sorry for the off topic post everyone.

Yes, that was my first thought exactly. Iran has been an ally of Russia, and this was a completely curious thing, but of course Iran is still its own country and they may be that desperate to get what they want. I heard last night the person of interest was Iranian and the material was some kind of radioactive sodium, usually used in medicine. But then Iran has been saying they want materials for energy, not weapons.

Well, he does have a point. What country is usually implicated in red flag operations around here? I personally have seen enough hatred of America even in Americans here to last me a lifetime. You can practically slice the hatred like a stick of butter. Whereas, we may criticize our own govt and its actions, some people seem to carry a kind of chip on their shoulder.
I wonder if Russia practices red flag ops for its citizens? I'm not sure what the point would be with this one, or perhaps it's propaganda for the West, which would be a more likely scenario. Then again, maybe it's money. Or mafia activity. Russia has quite an extensive mafia these days.

That's where you're wrong, criticism of a governmental organization does not qualify as hatred towards a country! This is getting as bad as being called Anti-Semite for criticizing Israel. There are some members on ATS who have pointed out their dislike for the American people, but there are ignorant people everywhere and this criticism isn't only reserved for Americans.

I haven't seen any American haters in this thread. Some people need to stop being so sensitive and accept the fact that their government is one of the most evil organizations on this planet. If you don't like it, too bad, because it's true!

My government is just as evil so I'm not acting like my leaders are any better, it's just we're not as aggressive in our war mongering. Does that mean I hate all Canadians?

Ah, so you also assume that every nasty thing that happens involves a US red flag operation.
I say it has nothing to do with the US. I know that Illuminati plots are insanely impossible to figure out sometimes but I don't see the angle here, as most people know that Russia stands behind Iran. Unless they thought that radioactive sodium would scare everybody but not be as truly dangerous as plutonium or uranium.
Then again, maybe it's just mafia smuggling operations.

You misunderstand me. I criticize govt all the time. Just look at my posting history. I separate govt from traditional America though, whereas many here say how embarrassed they are to be American. I think it tends to be more in relation to "war-mongering" than anything else. What has happened though is that we have departed from fighting communism wherever it spread to fighting terrorism. In this way, they can mask the enemy, and still make plenty of money doing it.
During the Cold War with Russia, communism spread to many countries. After the communist economy failed, they had to try something different, so this new slightly less communist model seems to have emerged, but I hear its more mafioso than anything else.
I can also separate Russian communism of the Politburo from the Russian people. I see it as a cancer on the earth that spreads and spreads. Now that socialism has spread throughout many countries, they have been concentrating on destroying the US economy because our Capitalism stands in the way of their international socialist One World Totalitarian Order. Or more specifically, our Constitutional Republic. So the Soros' of the world are working very hard at chpping away at our Constitution, and now we have protesters right here in the USA demanding things like "direct democracy" and taxing the 1 %(Marxist class warfare if I ever saw it) and also carrying signs that say "End Capitalism".
It's just so obvious to me, and our current POTUS is the spearhead of the movement with Soros behind him. Anything he is doing has a Marxist point to it.
The current POTUS is absolutely a Left Hegelian of the highest magnitude.
Then there's the Rothschild component. That's where the money comes in. POTUS may be an ideologue, but Rothschild is all about money. It is said that they use countries against each other and make money off both in war.
Rothschilds have their representative in the WH and I'm certain they would like to keep him there or put another one in.

America haters not necessarily in this thread.

Yeah, my girlfriend told me. But then we return to the question, why blow the whistle considering that they are self-proclaimed allies? Also, it makes much more sense to deliver whatever you need by military aircraft.

But - if you want the world to know that Iran is developing peaceful nuclear program - then it is just the right piece of news, isn't it? You see, they cannot buy this Na22 legally because of the sanctions.

From the article:

"There is no weapons aspect to this (material)," said Research director Lars-Erik De Geer of the Swedish Defense Research Institute.

I'm not sure what the big deal is here....Can someone explain to me the significance of material being shipped that has no weapons aspects to it?

The article has been updated and edited since it was first released. This news was breaking when I authored this thread and the information you pointed out wasn't available yet.

It's frustrating when websites update an article because it can cause confusion.

American neo-cons either paid Russians to do it or paid Putin to allow them to pull it off themselves so they can use it as an excuse to go to war with Iran. and I'm an American

PLEASE DON'T FEED THE TROLLS

The only solution to trolling is to ignore it. If somebody attacks you or makes false statements or misrepresents what you said, just do a Jay-Z, and get that dirt off your shoulder. If necessary, clarify your position without directly addressing the troll.

The way that I saw CNN play this was "Nuclear material intercepted going to Iran." That's the only thing they want the audience to take away from the story. Those who pay attention any further are treated to the rationale "It wasn't weapons grade material but if shows that weapons grade material COULD be next."

The false flag angle would be that they wanted it to get intercepted. It does seem like commercial air is a pretty bad way to smuggle radioactive material. A non-nuclear isotope gives news agencies a story to run with, and whip the populace into a frenzy...while offering the advantages of probably being easier to get, and not having anything truly risky on the loose if the operation should somehow go wrong.
