Sounds like this will be interesting, h5n1 maybe?
Im booking this post and will reply after you edit

eta:
Hmm seems to be more uneventful then I had predicted.
You are your best guide as to wether something is wrong, if things get worse go to a doctor but don’t take any vaccines.
Alternatively you can just google your symptoms and something should pop up.

Good news is, you and the wife are alive and past it.
If this is the case, it seems you do not have to get the flu shot!
Welcome to newfound immunity!

One more symptom to add. Laughter does not mix with this crap at all. I literally had to walk away from this thread last night. The coughing was to much and it wasn't going to stop if I kept laughing at the remarks. Takes everything away from the saying laughter is the best medicine. Wasn't easy cause I love humor.

Anyway I was looking to see if this is a random thing for me and WIFEY but we have a bingo. So where are you located Blivey ? In very general terms of course. Here is a link to my other thread. As I mentioned onions
seemed to drive it away:

Suspiria

I have to say no to your discription of stringy cotton, but that cough is a motha. Constantly thinking the next cough will clear everything. But it never happens. Irratating as all hell.

I see you are on the WEST COAST PACIFIC REGION so it may be related to whats (radio*) accross the pond. I havent had any strange symptoms but I took the FLU guinea pig shot cocktails so I dont know. I wish you and your spouse the best with healing from it and thanks for sharing the medical data..

Thanks Ophi, the same to you and yours this holiday season and happy happy. The nose bleed is a scary factor
with what's going on in Japan. So I had to post from the west coast.
