20 Isreali tanks and personnel carriers storm into the Northern Gaza Strip in the biggest raid of its kind, after 14 militants were killed by soldiers.
The militants were killed while training on a soccer field.

GAZA (Reuters) - Israeli tanks and helicopters have swept into the northern Gaza Strip, a day after soldiers killed 14 Hamas militants in the biggest ever raid of its kind.

At least 20 tanks and armoured personnel carriers rolled toward Beit Lahiya and Jebalya refugee camp early on Wednesday in what an Israeli military source called an operation to stop militants from firing home-made rockets at neighbouring Israeli towns.

There were no reported injuries in Wednesday's incursion, part of a growing spiral of tension that could complicate Israel's plan to evacuate troops and settlers from Gaza by the end of 2005.

Palestinian militants are determined to claim any Israeli pullout as a victory, but Israel has vowed to smash them first.

On Tuesday Israeli warplanes, tanks and helicopters pounded a Hamas camp on the outskirts of Gaza City, killing 14 militants as they were being trained on a soccer field.

The Isrealis have the best way of handling terrorists yet. Get the information and take them out before they can take you out.
The terrorists plan at great lenght on how to take "us" out, and Isreal's subperb intelligence agency is always on top of finding where, when the terrorists are. I think we could all use a lesson from them. Churchill is famous for saying "speak softly and carry a big stick". The Isrealis carrry the stick and use it too.

I really liked the part about killing the militants on the soccer field.
