What are they?

There are 2 seen celestials in the lasco images not mentioned anywhere can anyone explain what they are?

@2011/12/13 @time13:42 located @ 7oclock going to sun direction

@2011/12/15 @time2:06 there is something moving infront of the Lovejoy* comet

original thread started 12/6/11 for pics and more data related. I find it interesting there are no mentions of these celestial bodies especially the one in fron of the comet moving with it.....

Spaceweather.com mentioned on their site this morning that there was another fragement traveling with it. They have a video posted as well.

There Is Another One. According to the 2 most recent images (around Dec 15 @ 1600), there is another object just to the right, and trailing the comet. Appears to be about the same distance behind as the other is ahead.

Is this why the comet now has 2 tails, or is it for the reason that SpaceWeather is giving?..


"Many observers are asking about the comet's "double tail." These are the dust and ion tails. The gaseous ion tail is blown almost directly away from the sun by the solar wind, while the heavier, brighter dust tail more closely follows the comet's orbit: diagram."
