What if aliens are silly?

Picture it…A giant UFO lands on the front lawn of the White House [or anywhere appropriate to your geography] and when the aliens finally emerge…they are silly.

They do lame o practical jokes.

They use silly voices for so called comedic effect.

They idolise Carrot Top and Simon Cowell.

Yes, they show us the way to the stars, but they are also a bit of a let down. I think it a valid point to make that aliens may not conform to behaviour that we expect of them.

I would be disappointed and irked.

That sort of happened on "Mork and Mindy" and Alf.

It would be cool though in real life.

Like if we asked them for technology and they fell down LMFASO !!!

I've never realized that people had expectations for what the aliens would be like. It seems to me that the aliens wouldn't have to conform to any behavior because no one has ever met an alien to see what their like.

What were you thinking they would be like?

If silly is at all similar to (really smart as in behaving really strange),they can definitely be BOTH silly and smart.
Example fact..known scientist who walk the hallways at work backwards...Im sure if you search a little more there are many of these people who get to a point and............

If I was a silly alien, I'd probably idolize John Lithgow.

I would say that if they are silly, then they would be much like us.......

.....that or we would just destroy them for their attempts at humor, which is probably the most likely reaction.

I disagree. I believe they would all be different. Individual personalities and what not. Now, if they were leading some kind of diplomatic mission to introduce themselves to us, they would be on their best behavior, I imagine.

But to say that they are not silly, I think is silly in it self. I imagine that like people, their personalities would differ greatly.

I think the videos of greys in turtle necks are silly. What a bad fashion statement.
Maybe they walk among us. Nancy Pelosi (sp) having to pass it in order to read it, was seriously silly.
