'Gentlemen, We Shot a Judge' and Other Tales of Blackwater, DynCorp, and Triple Canopy's Rampage Through Iraq

gawker.com

By John Cook

Every time a Blackwater centurion discharged his weapon in Iraq, the company filed a written report with the U.S. State Department. Blackwater shot Iraq to #. Here are the reports.

Blackwater, the private mercenary firm that became synonymous with Bush-era war profiteering and reckless combat-tourism, announced yesterday that it has changed its name to Academi (after a previous incarnation as Xe Services) in a bid to distance itself from its history of wanton lawlessness. We've obtained a 4,500-page record of that history in the form of State Department incident report

BlackWater aka Xe Services, aka Academi is trying to distance itself from it's war crimes in Iraq.Gawker got a 4,500 page Sate Department incident report via FOIA (it took about 4 years.) considering the past and present Administrations stance on any info coming out it's amazing they got this. These "security." firms are clearly outta control here.

can you believe that's the main reason america pulled out of iraq. because the party's over.

iraqi parliament refused to grant any american personnel legal immunity. for any crime.

americans in iraq can no longer randomly shoot people.

the americans turned iraq into the wild west. blackwater has probably created more insurgents than osama bin laden has created terrorists.

and the reason these ***holes keep changing their name is because they keep getting denied licenses to operate in iraq and abroad.

Thanks for the share. I have been keeping an eye on the profiteering which has been rife throughout this invasion.
Whats interesting is that while the private corps have been making a mint the US population has gone further into debt.
Those families and special interest groups which helped the last 2 admins into power have certainly shown how they can use the U.N. and American people as an asset resource. It would be admirable except that I disagree strongly with murder for profit.

Like my old Dad used to say, make friends with an Arab and you have a friend for life. Make an enemy of him? Don't ever turn your back on him! (Dad (hospital personnel, a medic) was stationed in Libya many years ago, the 1960's). I admire their attitude and have nothing but respect for them.
You can change your name all you want, they will not forget your face. Viva Arabia!

Excellent find.

This is why we have to stop the insanity. Corporate "security" like blackwater (Xe, Academia.. whatever they want to change their name too) is out of control.

When corporations like Monsanto buy them you end up with incredibly powerful despotic corporate control.

Corpritocricy... aka Fascism is on the rise and we must take action NOW to stop it before "The land of the Free" becomes yesterdays memory and we wake up in a dystopian society portrayed in a million sci-fi movies.
