When I was younger, I got a chance to hear a speech from President Bill Clinton at Kansas University. I also got a chance to watch his motorcade leave. They were going 150 mph easy. Why in the world would they feel the need to drive so fast? Is it just because they can? Or does that kind of speed actually make him safer?

Hey I live just outside that "hicktown" and it is more like "hippytown". And for the most part Kansans are decent, down to earth, intelligent people. Just so you know

It might have seemed like it at the time to you, but he wasn't really going that fast. If he really did need to be somewhere faster than driving I assure you...Marine One was close by...even if he wasn't using it at the time.

I have seen multiple President's motorcades and they travel no where near that fast. Besides...you have any idea how much that limo of his weighs? Even with a NASCAR engine in it it won't do 150.

There's no need for that. If it annoys you, ignore the thread.

The current model compiles parts from different Cadillac models. It's engine is equipped with a Eaton Twin Vortices Series 1900 supercharger system.

I'm going with someone else said, probably security related.I'm sure it wasn't going quite as fast as you think though.Years ago,I got stuck in traffic on I-95 in Philadelphia for what seemed like an hour.It was for Clinton as well, his motorcade was heading back to the airport(which sits right off 95,if you've never been) and they were going fast..but not quite 150mph tho
